Any advice for approaching a maternity leave conversation when my company has no policy, no HR dept and I have no contract? Had a really great initial interview with a recruiter for a CS role at a company I’m dying to work for! The recruiter went over next steps which would included scheduling an interview with the hiring manager next. I was interviewed on a Tuesday and he said he’d get back about the inteveriw with the hiring manager at the end of the week, or latest Monday. I also followed up with a thank you email after the interview. It’s now the following Friday (almost 9 days later) Should I follow up or wait?

I’m 9 weeks pregnant and trying to keep my work groove going while not vomiting on everyone. Can’t wait until I get through the first trimester and feel comfortable being open about this whole mess.

Money isn’t everything. Ask questions. Make sure you are a good fit for the culture. A stressful and poorly functioning company can really mess with your health
