One hour, one day at a time! You’ll get to a new normal eventually and it will all keep rolling and evolving. You’ve got this - and you’ll figure out what works for you and your family. Stay strong!!

My friend who is an accountant at a big 4 said they have a policy where the first month back you only have to work 60% of your time and get 100% pay. That is so civilized.

Reed Smith has this. 60% first four weeks back, 70% next four weeks, 80% next four, then 90% next four, then back to full hours. No cut in base salary but bonus is prorated to go along with the prorated hours requirement.

I would give you a big hug if I could (and you were a hugger, of course)! I cried my first day back. I hated it so much. Now Im 4 months back and loving my reduced schedule!

You are not alone!! Sending hugs. You got this!

The first day of most anything is hard. You can do hard things.

But, make sure you’re OK with your arrangement. If you want to be PT or don’t want your child in a certain child care arrangement, think about whether you can make your dream situation happen. There’s a difference between navigating a big transition and forcing something that doesn’t feel right to you.

Did anyone else sing “you can do hard things” in a Ms. Rachel voice? Just me? 😂

Also this is very good advice.

It is so tough in so many ways. Solidarity.

It gets easier. One day at a time, you’re doing great.

The first month is tough. I remember texting all my mom friends the first day I got back and saying “wow, I don’t know how you did it. This is hard.” You’re in the worst of it. And for me, it definitely got better after I got used to the new routine. Sending positive vibes your way!

Thinking of you. Hope the first week went ok! 💖

Hi everyone, I had a major surgery and am looking to find a remote position involving anything that isn’t 100% commission based or cold calling/agent positions. Looking to make $25-35 an hour, and have had long term positions such as Clinical Secretary & Receptionist/Administrator, Accounts Payable Clerk, Team Lead, and Sales Associate. I’m willing to try new things and am a very quick learner, and can handle multitasking and high pace. Does anyone know of any good work from home positions?
