Morning all, is there anyone working in cloud that did not go to school for the traditional CS etc., that I can talk to about their journey? I am looking to transition into cloud as a cloud architect/engineer or consultant. I started my journey with AWS CCP, going for AWS SAA in Feb.

What is more difficult to pass, the AWS Solutions Architect Professional or the AWS security specialty exam?

Got my SAA over the summer.

Would a company give me a chance in cloud with aws SAA and aws security specialty in your opinion ?

Hi all, I’m currently a solution architect with 1yoe and two bachelors degrees. I also hold two cloud certifications and make 60k a year. This seems very low considering what I’ve seen for average SA salaries for those who hold the AWS SAA certification. Was hoping for some insight on this and if I should seek more compensation. I want to further develop my BI and DE skills. Currently exploring paths of AWS certs with some others mixed in, does this seem like a good strategy:
AWS CCP>Tableau DS> ICAgile (ICP)> AWS SAA>AWS DA > PMI CAPM > and then maybe tableau data analyst or Powerbi.

I am currently in a “data-centric” role, as in I do a lot of SQL writing, unwinding python/php/java code to understand how systems work, and proposing solutions to either automate processes or eliminate redundancies.

I am wanting to get into cloud architecture, is this too much of a stretch given I don’t have hands on coding experience? I am AWS SAA certified but still feeling like that’s not enough

I recently completed my micro masters in Advanced ML, I have 1 yoe. currently in the role of ETL. I hold a AWS SAA certificate.
Current salary ~ 8lpa.
Should I ask for job change in my current company (pharma)?
Or jump to different, if so how much should I ask for expected salary?

For people who are AWS SAA certified, what is a good reading resource (book) that I can rely on, instead of on online course like Udemy. I somehow feel good only after reading some material than listening to the classes. Has anyone passed the exam just by reading and practicing, without watching any videos?

Looking for pointers to crack the AWS SAA certification. Currently doing mock exams from Tutorialsdojo and in the 78-80% range. Is this a good estimation of preparedness for the exam?
