Sorry that happened to you but you already have them. Do they look bad? If not, I would just keep them and next time either don’t go back there or only go when the owner is there.
They don’t look bad at all which is why I didn’t throw more of a fit when I talked to the owner. I know plenty of people would probably be okay with it, but I’m about to take some time off for vacation and I can’t even imagine getting my hair wet now with how heavy/dense it already is
There is a language barrier but I’ve gone there before and used the same exact reference picture and I literally get the same thing every single time. Typically it takes about 3-4 hours. Almost 7 hours later I had small knotless braids that reach almost my waist. I told them multiple times in the beginning I do not want curly hair at the ends, just braid straight down (which they understood). When done, they tried to curl my hair and I had to stop them to let them know I had literally specified that I don’t want that. Long story short, the hair is so thick and dense I can’t even put it up in a bun (which is how I typically wear it), it’s insanely heavy, and hot. I’m here at 3:00am typing this as I research what to do because I literally can’t sleep. I texted the owner and told her I’m unhappy and she apologized/ mentioned she would reiterate that they need to listen to customer wishes.
But it’s almost as if they purposefully didn’t listen to anything I said so that they could charge me more for longer/ smaller braids. They even asked me how much I typically pay because usually the owner is there and Ive always dealt with her for payment and she tells the stylists what to do. All in all, what would you do? Debating taking down the braids in the back and going somewhere else and asking them to make them bigger medium braids and keeping the smaller ones in front (simply because I don’t want to undo all of this/it’ll take forever).
