Any recommendations for really good sound machines to completely block out loud noise? I live in the North End and am so angry…loud drunk assholes yelled in the street last night and woke me up (even with my loud AC on which typically blocks out most noise) and it took me forever to fall back asleep and sleep quality was terrible because I was on edge.

Bose mini speaker, and then Spotify has “brown noise” 12-hour songs that work great

For sleep I use the Amazfit Zenbuds, they are in-ear white noise emitting earplugs. I find them very effective as the white noise is closer to your ear, so it masks more outside sounds.

Wow I felt for OP (live in the North End myself) until their responses showed how much of an abrasive person they are.

It’s the North End. It’s noisy. Maybe you’re getting old. Move out.

Ah yes the sounds of the north end. You’ll miss them when you leave!

Your age catches up with you OP. At certain age, your sleep is tough to maintain.
You probably didn’t notice it before because you in your 20s. Once 30 hits, best bet is to move to the suburb.

It happened to me and the South End. Best of luck to u.

Why did you move to north end?? Didn’t you know this already?

Hey Genius, I’ve lived in the North End for ten years now and have never had this problem until now.

I think the only buildings in the North end that wouldn’t have this problem are the taller luxury apartments

I usually just have a white noise machine and a fan on and sleep like a baby. I've also sound proofed my windows

I use the Yogasleep Dohm sound machine for construction noise around my apartment and although it doesn’t completely block it, anything helps!

I use this sleep machine + noise cancelling AirPods in the north end and it works perfectly for me.

Sharing my story: I carry an abnormal gene in which me and my wife's first child was affected. We decided with our second child to use IVF. We started our journey in January 2021 and my wife went through 4 IVF cycles using my sperm in a 9 month span (her choice). We decided after the 4th round failed to go a different route and use sperm donation to rid us of the gene. During 2022, she went through 4 rounds of IUI and finally got one that stuck. She is now 14 weeks pregnant and due in April 😊
