How to move from healthcare consulting (analyst level) to PE shop focused on healthcare?
Hypothetical: You are a 23 year old consulting analyst seeking honest advice. You’re incredibly fortunate in that you have no debt, have maxed out your Roth 401k for the year, and have a good emergency fund. You have ~10k in the markets being invested outside your 401k but you’re unsure how to best utilize ~30k you have sitting in a bank account doing nothing (separate from your emergency fund). What would you do?
Thinking about applying for the healthcare consulting analyst position at Huron. Would anyone be able to provide insight on the position/company culture and also a referral?
I’ve saved a little over $40k in a little over 2 years out of college plus maxing our my 401k for both years. I love my job but am thinking of quitting and doing extended time traveling. Thoughts?
So those "free" FibBits we got earlier in the year, weren't actually free. Fucking imputed benefits fucking tax. $67 out of my paycheck.
Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, Free and Reduced Lunch, pensions, health insurance, Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security, Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, National Guard, caring for your neighbor, and PUBLIC EDUCATION. That’s just a small list of things I’m told I should hate because they’re all socialist. I’m not at all sorry to report that I’m FOR all of those things. Call me whatever you want.

As a Sr. Strategist, what are the benefits of going platform side (insta, snap, fb)? Does it get too sales-y? Is it worth exploring?
Does it make the most sense to max your 401k to 19500 a year or just to employer match and invest the rest yourself? Does this vary with Roth 401k? My situation 24, making 100k, max my Roth IRA of 6k a year

What's the 401k rule at PwC if you leave before completing 5 years? Do you not get employer contribution at all or just some % of it?
I know the general consensus is “6 - 12 months in your savings account in case you’re without a job”, but what do I do when I reach that goal? Just keep saving? I’m just unsure because there’s no set rule. Plus I’m of the mind that money I can spend now is better than money sitting in a bank I may (not) get to use later in life. Also, I already have a 401k and Roth IRA. So how much saving is too much?

A partner called me today and said that my career coach (boss) got a reference request from another job for me. She said they were surprised that I wanted to leave so early. I’ve been with this public accounting firm for 7 months, yes it’s short but I don’t like the culture, and I don’t think public accounting is for me. She kept saying how disappointed she’d be if I left and that I haven’t given it a chance. She wants a follow up call tmrrw for my answer. No idea what to do, please help
I was just promoted to acd at a good agency. But got close to no pay raise. How much does an acd get? I’ve started feeling resentful because I think I deserve a pay bump
I’m 8 weeks pregnant and am exhausted all the time. Like, sleeping 8 hours a night and still can’t keep my eyes open during the day. My work is insanely busy and the pressure is really on for billable hours. Our firm has furloughed some lawyers and laid off others. So even quick naps during the day aren’t a possibility. I’m typically working from 8:30-7, break for dinner, and then back on the computer from 9-10:30 before bed. I exercise most mornings and eat well. What can I do to make it thru?!
Anyone else feel/felt out of breathe just talking a lot during a Zoom meeting? Third trimester and trying to have "Executive Presence" is so hard when you are bloated, burpy and winded during pregnancy.

I know this is controversial, but would you get a vaccine if you didn’t have kids yet? I feel like there isn’t enough information on if/how this could potentially affect fertility. I personally contemplate waiting a little longer (at least until it’s FDA approved), but at the same time thinking maybe I’m over reacting?
