I have a 30 minute Case Study video interview tomorrow with a Deloitte manager to be a Cyber Risk Consultant. I’m fresh out of grad school with no consulting experience. What should I expect?
Currently in a B4 non-customer facing role doing internal strategic / tech work. I work alongside our consulting teams daily, often on the same (internal) engagements. I have an interview with another B4 firm soon for a customer-facing consulting role and there’s of course talk about sales and business development. What does that actually mean (day to day)? I worked in professional sales years ago and busted my ass cold calling, prospecting, proposals, and knocking on doors. Is it the same?
I was invited to an "Introduction Call" by a BCG recruiter. I had sent a cold email to a manager director with my CV asking for a call and apparently he shared this with her. This is all she told me. Is anyone familiar with these Introduction Calls? Are they evaluative? Is it just a courtesy to the Senior Partner which generally won't lead to an interview? Any help appreciated.
Might be a paranoid mom question - my 16 month old is starting daycare next week. So far, I’ve had virtual interviews/meet and greet sessions with the daycare staff. Today we went in for our in-person orientation and I noticed that my child is the only non-white kid in his class of 8. Not entirely shocking, but in my head (and having seen pictures in their catalog) I was hoping there would be a little more diversity. Should I be worried about my kid feeling left out because he looks different?
Made it to a third 2nd round interview and then ghosted in as many months. Which smaller shops in NYC need a summer intern or jr? Want to work and help in anyway. Have ad and art school training.
Does anyone have experience doing a “Situational experience” interview with McKinsey? It’s for an expert role and the interviewer is a partner (final round). This is in addition to the case interviews.

Is it okay if I use my work teams app for an interview? I’m running into issues with my personal computer on Microsoft Teams and I don’t have time to fix before my interview.
Recent grad who went straight into consulting and never interviewed with industry companies. Why is industry considered more laid back? What are the big differences between the two? I feel like some of my family/friends who aren’t in consulting don’t necessarily work less than me but I may be wrong. Thanks in advance!
Any advice to make it to second rounds for tech companies? Been able to get multiple first round interviews with Amazon, Google, Microsoft but not able to make it to the on-site

I do not like auditing at all. I’ve heard you need to stay in audit for 2-3 years or promotion before leaving to industry. Is it worth it to stay that long or is it okay to leave after 1?
Wouldn't mind if there was an app to find "friends with benefits" while on the road - and no I am not talking about tinder or other apps..! How many people think that would be helpful / resourceful?
Hubs is starting to interview for senior legal roles. Hasn’t had a haircut during covid, and it’s curly and fantastic. Looks awesome. Does he need to cut it to appear “professional?” (He was laid off in April, so we’re getting anxious)
