I am pretty camera-shy, and even now, I still prefer in-person meetings over virtual ones. I’ve been in interviews and virtual meetings where no one says it out loud, but you can feel the pressure to turn your camera on. Recruiters and hiring managers, does being on camera really matter as much as people think? if you are being honest, does camera-on change how you judge someone?

NFW- I just had a good laugh. Earlier today I was on a video conference call reviewing a Private Label Agreement template with a larger company who wishes to brand label products we develop and manufacture. We came to a very one-sided provision and my sales VP stated “for this one, how can we just say ‘hell no’ ...nicely?” The other person on the call said we can replace the wording with just NFW (no f@$* way) and I said “I will have to add that to the defined terms section so it’s clear”
