Had recruiters reach out from EY and EYP. I have looked extensively & can't really find any info regarding the pay bands for each. I am looking at Director/SM/MD and up. Focused on M&A and tech transformation.

Need to be in the 300's for base and good bonus or not worth moving. What is typical bonus % and how much typically for a signing bonus?

Is there a big difference between the 2 and not talking about ego. I am one of those firms now. Looking for similar/better comp w/better WLB.

I’m in MTS and recently got an offer from PWC federal side, compensation wise it’s really close but in my group I have multiple clients under three different Senior Manager which is what kills me. I’ve always want to get federal experience and I don’t think it’ll be easy if I want to transfer to a federal group. So should I quit or use the offer to negotiate transfer group? I'm a 3 yr manager (Tax) at EY and think I'm in zone for promotion to SM next year. Current salary: 157k. But I just received an offer to be a Corporate VP with salary of 190k. EY has higher potential comp for those on PPMD route, but honestly, I'm not much for selling which is what I'm seeing my job entailing more as a SM. I think I'd prefer the Compliance job, but I'd miss my EY team.

Feeling split. Thoughts/advice welcome on how to evaluate choices.

PwC I think our (up to) $20,000 referral bonus (for getting in a senior manager/director to the global mobility services group) seems to show more a sign of desperation especially as competitors offer $3,000-$4,000 for a senior manager referral bonus. What’s the deal?

Started with EY as an intern, currently a Senior 2 moving to Senior 3 in Oct. Part of Indirect Tax in the New York Metro Area. Reviews and utilization are consistently above peer group average. CPA, no Masters.

Currently salary is 77k. I feel like I’m underpaid compared to peers/others when I see threads on Fishbowl. Does this seem low to anyone else?

I need a 17% raise to break 90k at Snr 3, which I’d be bummed to not get after EY preached about high raises. New job searching level bummed 😔.

Edward Jones advisor with 30 million AUM and roughly 250k gross production. Been there for almost 4 years. Got an offer at Merrill Lynch to take over a 100 million dollar retirement transition plan in 5 years, or to join a 5 person Merrill Lynch team that manages a lot.

Pros to EJ: Have my own office, a year or two away from partnership, great office setting and client satisfaction.

Pros to Merrill: Bump in compensation, additional tools and services w banking, ability to take over assets.
