Between FMR and FIL, FMR is the main company which is present in Bangalore and Chennai.
FIL is also under Fidelity's umbrella but they serve different market and are completely a different company. We don't work together.
FIS is a different service based fintech company. It's present in multiple cities. FIS is the one who recently did layoffs and many people are confusing it with FMR and FIL.
Coming to the work culture part, FMR has great work culture, pay and benefits. I'm part of FMR and you should definitely consider accepting the offer. People call FMR as Fidelity Investments more often than its actual full form Fidelity Management and Research.
FIL is present in Gurgaon and even though I don't work here but I've heard pretty good reviews about the company. They're smaller than FMR.
FIS is a service based company with not so great pay and WLB.
It's a product based company.
Both FIL(Fidelity International) and FMR(Fidelity Investment) are the best companies to be in.
They're separate entities (At the beginning they were under the same umbrella) yet they work together for a lot of things. FMR covers US Market and while FIL covers the rest of the market. The CEO of FMR is the chairperson in FIL.
FIS is a totally different company which recently did the layoff.
I am currently interviewing for a role at one of the investment subsidiaries of FMR for an investment role. Can anyone provide what the hiring process consists of? HR reached out last week for a role I applied to 4 months ago. The initial application included detailed questions about my experience (investment related). Never had a screening call they just asked to set up a call via zoom (no video) with hiring manager this week. Any insights on the potential timeline? Additionally this is a mid-level investment role since I never spoke with HR there was no talk about comp structure or interviewing process. For further context I would be a "boomerang employee" Any insights here?
