Got final interview with 2 ppl from Deloitte yesterday, 1 is a manager and the other is a partner. I think I did well with the manager. For the partner, he asked 2/4 questions that I did not prepare so did not answer as well as expected. He stopped asking me after just 10 mins with those 2 questions. Given that I have some strengths from my resume ( high gpa, passed cpa) and fluent communication, friendly manner. Any hope? Position: Audit staff.
2nd year audit staff here. If I want to exit audit to go into a Sr. Financial Analyst role or industry accounting role, should I start applying right after my senior promotion? I really don’t want to do a year of audit as a senior.
Need some advice, I’m an experienced audit staff looking to transition to FDD or Valuation after busy season. Does it make sense to make the jump at the staff level or should I wait for the senior promotion? Also which one of these two areas would give me a more valuable/transferable skill set? I’m not sure what I want to do long term yet, but I know I want to work in a client facing role and not exit to industry.
Hi all, I’m a soon to be audit staff 2. Really interested in forensic work. Is it better to join a consulting firm or get in EY forensic? When is a good time exit audit to be competitive? I know forensics is probably not hiring right now but want to prepare in advance.

Hi, I’m just wondering if anyone has switched form an audit staff to consultant position if that’s easy or anything. I do not have my CPA yet but I also think I don’t like audit enough to care to get it. I think I was to switch into advisory. Any advice ?
What % increase should I be looking for when jumping to industry? Currently an Audit Staff II in a top 5 US city. Getting promoted to senior in the fall but position needs to be filled before promo.

Just hit the 1 year mark as a post-MBA consultant at a T2 and realizing consulting isn’t for me. Are there any industries where someone with 5 YOE and MBA can get a senior manager or director role with $200k+ total comp or should I expect a pay cut?
I’m a jr litigation associate with many years of tech work pre law school. A former coworker has offered to submit my resume for a legal role at her company (also tech) basically doing contract and privacy work as well as other tasks relevant to my former work life. My current resume is full of litigation experience from law school, since my resume is written for applying to lit positions. On the one hand, it bolsters my legal experience. On the other, it’s not relevant to this role. Do I cut?
I’m a media strategist in SF considering a shift from media to a Comm Strategist role. Agency side. I have 3.5 years experience. I’m currently at $65k. What should I ask for in salary?
Does anyone works as a Financial Analyst at Amazon AWS mind chatting with me please? Feel free to comment below your insights regarding the position/ interviews! Thank you!
How feasible is it to leverage your experience as an SA pre-MBA to a TPM, PM, PMO or other management role post-MBA (M7)? If its not a reach, how do you position yourself if asked about management experience during the interview? Note: Due to personal circumstances, I can't wait the additional 2 years I would need to become manager before going to an MBA though I would do so if I could.
EY hasn't delivered on promises made during my hiring. It's time to go. I've been a top rated SM for the last 5 years, with deep, relevant, cross sector experience in IoT, RPA, and digital where to?
Fishes, looking for recommendations on growing business development and sales skills. Finding and growing pipelines, establishing marketing materials, closing sales, and similar for services. I have on the job experience within consulting but never any formal training or education. Entering a new role where I'll need to build organizational capabilities from scratch. Any recommendations on programs, certificates, courses, books, or other similar ideas would be greatly appreciated. TIA!
Well I just got rejected from a role because I'm over qualified. I guess that's a compliment / something.
Anyone know what Equifax’s 401k and benefits look like? Curious to see if it’s competitive. Also know if they’re salary is competitive. Looking at a VP fraud operations and monitoring position.

I graduated in May 2020 and found myself excepting a Junior Art Director position in Healthcare. I never saw myself in health but with many agencies having hiring freezes I decided to get some experience and save up some money in the meantime. Fast forward one year; I’ve added a new campaign to my website and I’m starting to apply to consumer agencies again. Any tips to help me make the transition? Any place to avoid? Who have you noticed is hiring again? Thanks in advance :)
How to ask a startup to share their books with you. Being courted for Manager of S&O role, but don't want to be walking into a sinking ship.

Got referral to a role I was interested in. During initial call with recruiter, she told me that I should also check out other firms as well. She's going to schedule an interview but it was weird that she suggested that I check out other firms
At times I find the gender balance in our profession disappointing. Sending a firm invitation to 9 guys. We need better hiring practices
Question for hiring managers/directors for copywriters: Thoughts on requiring cover letters specifically for young talent without a robust portfolio?
I know my client needs an Accounting Manager. I know this because they’re startup med device company that has their books in complete shambles. The current accounting team isn’t very strong. How do I let the client know that I would be interested in joining them? They’re not actively recruiting for any position but I know they’d benefit from it. Serious responses only :)

Hi, I have to travel to India this weekend from the US since my mother has fallen severely ill. I am on an H1 B. Is there anyone here who has managed to travel back? I’m married and husband will continue to be in the US. He’s on an H1 B too. Any pointers are greatly appreciated!!

I can’t help but feel that the partners in my practice have already decided who they’re investing in to help develop and promote—and it doesn’t include me. I’m a high performer and well-liked, but I see other people at my level and above still get preferential treatment and I think this is hindering promotion. My only solution is to find an exit to another firm. Has anyone else been in this situation and also found their only way to solve this was to leave?
Who else is nervous about returning to the classroom after our students' covid exposures over winter break??
Is it generally enough to have a decent social life / casual hobbies, a good GMAT and GPA, and really strong recommendations from work to get into a top school...? How “extra” do my extracurriculars need to be? All I really do is work. Psyched out by that guy who makes pizza in his oven for free. Man, that guy has a great story and seems like someone I’d want in my MBA program. I feel like such a bore.
In my previous work experience I had a gap after getting laid off. I held various temp roles. How would include this on resume or LinkedIn?
What is the procedure for Deloitte BA Operations Transformation interview? I have my first round tomorrow. Profile: Two years of ZS experience.

Post vaccine - what if there were two career paths: 1) WFH, but career path limited to individual contributor roles, 2) Office / Travel with 25% higher comp for similar WFH role and no career path limits. I think that’s fair TBH. Thoughts?
For people who had mild symptoms of COVID, how long did you wait until you ventured back out to run errands or go to the store? It’s been about two weeks now for me and I’m feeling pretty much back to normal other than still no taste/smell and a little stuffy nose.
What types of projects do you work on? I work on post merger integration (M&A) but am looking for something that is more strategic / involves critical thinking / analysis. I want to get a feel if MBB has work that would be more interesting and challenging for me
Who else thinks that very few clients will want us back on site, and not in the same numbers if they do? I am anecdotally hearing from some of my former clients that they may be phasing out office space and allowing WFH for all employees. 💁🏼
