I’m about as burned out on dating as I am work lol. Decided Im content enough being single that I can make a great life for myself and stop trying to date as it was leading me nowhere. So haven’t now for a couple years. My thought is that it’ll happen when/if the Good Lord wants it to. So it’s up to Him! Haha. Dating in your mid to late 30s in 2026 is NOT for the faint of heart lol. Nor is job searching. I’ve often compared the two. Applying for jobs constantly feels far too similar to swiping right or left on dating apps lol. Same result even….nothing! Haha. I haven’t sworn off applying for jobs however I have sworn off dating apps. Gotta work since I won’t be finding a sugar daddy any time soon 😂😂
It actually gets better when you swear off the apps, I swear!
This job market might be hard, but the dating market makes it feel like a piece of cake comparatively speaking... I'm basically given up on dating, would be open if something right came along but not really worth the effort, time, and money of constantly putting myself out there.
Easy. If he isn’t a value add to life and making it better or easier, he’s out. I have no time or tolerance for a man child, especially if we have kids ourselves.
Working 14-hr days, and at least one weekend day, for months on end, leaves little, if any, energy to even think about doing anything other than bed rotting when I’m not working. Plus, job market uncertainty has me on edge non-stop. It’s also not super helpful that no time for working out and eating healthy have made me far less confident about my appearance these days. I walk home from work - at 11pm or midnight, and that’s the extent of my fitness routine 😑
