Our sweet girl is super friendly & beyond excited to see people on our walks. She also has some coonhound in her so we spend a ton of time standing and sniffing. All of this is perfectly fine and we love letting her explore but dang sometimes we will stand there for many mins. We worked w trainer & he had us use a prong collar, but now transitioned to a harness, but she will not listen at all..will stay put even longer when sniffing. What can we do to make this transition better for her (& us)?

This is my girl, Georgia. ♥️ We fostered her in 2006 when she was on death row at a high kill shelter. She was 1 1/2 years old. A few months later, we decided we couldn’t live without her, and we adopted her. My kids were 6 and 8 at the time and now they’re 18 and 21. She’s been with us through 3 of our own dogs, 2 guinea pigs as well as 5 foster dogs. She had a beautiful life and felt so much love. Today she crossed over and we are devastated but we know she had a wonderful and full l💔😭

For those that work full time, how much daily exercise do you give your dog? Do you worry they’re not stimulated enough? I do 30min walk at noon, 1-1.5hour park at 5pm and I’m worried he’s not doing enough stuff like traveling to new towns, not enough hikes etc and I plan to fix that this spring. Every dog I see on Instagram does so much more every week!
