I have been a good designer for many years and have been jumping from job to job but never has it been easy to get an interview. Then finally, When I do get one, my interviews goes great through 5th round and towards the end I’ll get the dreaded email “thank you but we chose another candidate.” I can say for sure in one or two of my previous jobs I’ve had some bad bosses and I know they didn’t like me very much. How can I find out if they say negative things about me? Is there a secret file?

PE folks - what are the most important skills someone looking to switch over from IB should have? I’m struggling to land an interview and just trying to figure out what it is I’m missing.

Offered a stable, okay AE position for 57 but also talking and interviewing with exciting tech companies for possibly 65.
It’s the holiday season and I would feel crap being unemployed though. Help?

GHOSTING POTENTIAL EMPLOYERS: My friend is a partner in a firm (Long Island, NY). He said they cannot find attorneys to hire. Lawyers aren’t applying or applicants just don’t show up to interviews and ghost them. He thinks it’s a millennial thing. I am shocked by it. MILLENNIALS, ARE YOU REALLY GHOSTING POTENTIAL EMPLOYERS?! Where are the applicants?! Don’t you all need jobs!?

Need to vent..Started a new role after being laid off this summer. Grateful for a job and a very desirable industry, but annoyed that I didn’t have any leverage to negotiate, so my salary is much lower than before (and role isn’t great either). I want to switch internally but don’t know if I can wait a year. Can’t shake the feeling of wanting to get back to where I was but on the other hand feel slimy for continuing to interview and ashamed at the prospect of being a job hopper. Any advice?

I completed 3 rounds of interview in PwC for Data Analytics Manager and awaiting HR discussion.
I have 8.5 yrs of experience in SQL, Unix and little bit of Python too.
Current package is 23LPA.
Please advise on how much I can expect/demand.

I interviewed with them (director and vp) till last round and decided to pursue a different opportunity. Great and caring people who seems to support what you wanna do at this position. So I've been tasked with talking to our expert in a case to get details on his opinion, ask questions about his report, and discuss what he may have to do as the case progresses. I'd already rather the attorney be doing this, but whatever. I want to record the call just so I can take my notes from it and make sure I dont miss anything and then delete it, but wouldn't such a recording be discoverable? And then wouldn't deleting it then be destroying discoverable information?
