As an intern, will interviewing with competitors for fulltime affect my shot at a return offer? (if current firm somehow finds out)

There was once this intern from Bain that I wanted to connect with when I just started my undergrad. After sending a connect request, he finally responded after a few months and so I tried to schedule a coffee or call with him. He told me he was very busy, and instead of simply saying that, he gave me the link to an hour long INTERVIEW HE DID WITH A CLUB AT HIS SCHOOL. The audacity 😂😂

Recently I accepted an offer for a consulting position. However, I was just invited for a interview for a government intern position and that is another organization I would love to work for definitely in the future. How do I decline without burning bridges or potentially asking for fall openings ?

I’ve applied to all the B4/midsize/regional firms for tax staff/intern and was not even able to get a single interview. Graduated last year w/. 150 credits, 3.65 GPA, CPA in progress, under a year of relevant work experience/volunteer activity. Rehearsed my resume many times and wasn’t even given a chance. Is there is something wrong with me?

Hi, I’m an undergrad majoring in economics. I’m now a junior and couldn’t find an intern for summer. I am thinking applying to a one year graduate program in business analytics so I get more skills built up. Could anyone give me some advice about whether this is doable? I’m hesitating because I haven’t really taken much programming classes and most my coding skills are built up by doing research. Same with math. Thanks in advance!!

Advice on switching practice areas: I have an interview tomorrow for a litigation firm. I am in my second year of practice as a transactional real estate attorney. I find that work unfulfilling and I really miss researching/drafting.Prior to practicing, I had a clerkship and did litigation work as an intern throughout law school. I don’t think I’m that far removed from that litigation exposure to warrant them not giving me a job, but I just want to make sure I frame it in the best way possible.

Is this salary too low? I'm @ final interview for senior accountant and job posting said $60-65k. Before you say it's too low right away, my experience is on a low end of this of this role. Just 1 year auditer @ national top 10, 6 months intern at same firm, 1 year accounting intern at local private firm, and 2 years doing AP clerk. I'm a licensed CPA and in MCOL. I really want this title for growth but don't want to get stiffed. It's a large corp w/ great benefits.

Are all job offers from business schools coming through the internship the year prior? Is any body just straight up applying for full time roles? Might get biased answers from this bowl but interested to read thoughts. Currently in pm/bizops intern role at Tesla with summer mbb interviews coming up, and I am unsure of which path to take coming out of undergrad. Reasons for consulting: - travel, lifestyle - fast paced, constant changing of clients and projects to learn and gain responsibility quickly - friends and network among class Pro of staying: - fulfilling mission - long term want to be in sustainability Cons: - slower growth ops

Advice for if a recruiter asks about comp expectations? This is before any interview. They said 100k-200k base and 150-250k TC. I said 200k+ TC and 160k+ base, "depending on other potential opportunities", which is indeed my target. Should I have gone higher than my target or does the "+" and additional note take care of potential issues? I also didn't want to rule myself out straight away, so I thought staying in the middle of the range would make sense.
