You have to be in control of your boundaries as much as possible. Stop volunteering for extra work, stop working over your time, and take your lunch break away from the desk! All of those things start to help turn it back.
We can't turn back the clock, but we can change the direction of the path going forward. I've always been the person my managers called a high performer and overachiever, taking on and volunteering for new tasks, and for me I've hit a point where the burnout got to be too much and it's shattered the illusion and need to achieve. I'm no longer doing anything other than the bare minimum outlined in my contract. No volunteering for extra 'visibility' or 'stretch' projects, just focus on doing the work assigned and nothing more. It's been a hard change, almost like going through a grief process, but the grief brings healing. I'm not going to continue to walk the burnout road, it's a slow and hard adjustment, but slowly it's becoming easier to swallow. I'm not fully adjusted, but I'm focusing on the actions until the feelings catch up that it's normal to just do the job and nothing more.

Not when we are all about to be replaced with tech/ai. I feel like life is just a constant trying to prove yourself because you are so expendable
