Don’t do it 🤣 jk but seriously, depending on where you are in life, public audit is hard on marriages/relationships/mental health/etc. Have a clear idea of what you want your life to look like and be intentional about setting boundaries with work and giving yourself time to recharge or you will burn out in a year.
Observe as much as you can. You will absorb more than you realize. Some of the assholes you work with will teach you the most (it’s okay to still hate working with them). If you start recognizing you have certain industry, ERP, or technical work experience- target that and ask your superiors to be put on more of those clients.
Have a conversation with your manager about your new role, responsibilities, and performance expectations and be super clear on what you're going to focus on. Maintain the work ethic you had - so have the same diligence and attention to detail you demonstrated as an intern. It's easy to lose those when you feel like you've graduated out of the intern phase. And don't feel hesitant to take ownership of your projects,!
