Anyone selling dodger tickets tonight
Hello everyone! I recently pivoted from working in advertising to working at an early-stage fintech startup. I'm looking to speak with business finance leaders who manage corporate cash and credit lines for their companies to learn more about your tools and your approach to cash management. I'll buy you lunch/coffee for your time.
If interested shoot me an email me at kathryn@crescent.app! And thank you!!

The catch is you’re not getting big law comp which is getting fat after these raises over the past couple years and likely going to continue. You have to decide whatever the WLB difference is worth the cut

Okay but FAANG is pretty freaking close and still a lot more than most other in-house jobs. If those last dollars really make a difference to someone, I don’t think I have anything to say to that person.

There's no catch. Just that most of them don't have great WLB on the whole... But most of them comp quite well.
Some positions have WLB but definitely not all
I can only speak for my FAANG company, but despite some teams working long hours our legal team actually has very low turnover. My impression is that legal teams in most other big tech companies also have low turnover.
The catch is your ceiling (in terms of title/position/power) is fairly low because you’ll be starting at the bottom of a huge legal team. So if climbing the ladder and becoming a VP, GC, or CLO is your goal, it’s much easier to do that at a smaller company.
