I think we all feel this way sometimes. Even people who LOVE their jobs don't always want to HAVE to work, ya know? It's more about the freedom of how to spend your time, not about how much you like/dislike the work.
I guess it is a normal human behavior to feel this way sometimes. Plus I don't hate my job.

I get that completely, it’s normal to zone out and watch the clock sometimes, but feeling trapped regularly is a sign it might be time to rethink things. Even small steps toward something new can make a big difference.
You made a fair point about the consistency of a particular behavior. I have been doing this clock thing a lot lately so that means I need to change things around now.
I don't think many of us would still show up to work if we won the lottery. Work is something we have to do, not necessarily something we want to do. We shouldn't hate our jobs, but it's normal to not love it all the time, either. I definitely spend my fair share of time watching the clock.
I wish I win the lottery soon lol. And you are right about not loving our job all the time. Its not like I hate my job but its just there are some days when time feels slow and I just want to go home.

Yes, this use to be me when I was working in the office or on site. It was hard for me to focus on work. I would always look at the clock wishing I was home. Now, that I work hybrid it’s so much easier and I’m not constantly looking at the clock anymore.
I am glad you have hybrid role and you enjoy working from home. Not everyone has same pleasure. You are lucky.
