How much should I target for a salary as a Senior Creative Strategist in tech? I am based in Canada with 8+ years leading marketing strategies and campaigns

Thoughts on going in-house for a high level creative role? I’ve only worked at agencies and generally like it, but curious to hear of anyone esp at ECD/VP creative level who did the switch. For a well known brand, does cool stuff and would offer a good comp package.

Holding a salary job as a creative coordinator but constantly getting offers to freelance for other companies on the side. My salary is nowhere close to where I want it to be so I’m considering working these side-gigs. Does anyone know if that’s legal? If not, how else are we supposed to make more money? lol

Anybody else over working in the rat race altogether? I’ve jumped around a few times in the last 5 years, improving my comp and aligning more to my strengths and interests, yet I’m still unfulfilled. I’m pretty much doing exactly what the last 20 years of being in consulting has prepared me for: advising clients at the highest levels - and I’m bored. I’d love to leave and take up a more creative job, but of course, that doesn’t pay the bills - anybody think of, or actually made that transition?

Can anyone advise salary on a Creative Lead role in London? It’s tech (in-house) and comes with RSUs, another number I have no idea about.

CW salary at FB/Meta within the Creative X group? I keep seeing posts for copywriter positions that require 6 years of experience so I’m assuming even though they call it copywriter it’s more in line with senior / ACD agency salary.

3. I live a 3 hour drive from the office. There is a requirement to be in the office 2 days/week. I don’t plan to relocate. Any creative ways to negotiate comp given the 3 hour distance? Will they provide accommodations for someone traveling 3 hours to come to the office twice/week.

How do you interpret “Years of experience“ in salary surveys and reports?
Here’s an example. Does a Creative Director with 7+ yrs of experience have 7+ yrs in the role of a Creative Director? Or does that 7 yrs include their work as a Senior Designer?

Copywriter w/ a decade of big name agency work, few awards but no lions or pencils. Making decent salary and decent work. Fairly happy but worried about balancing kids/money/work next year.

I was offered $108k for a designer role at chiat\day LA. Is that good? Should I have asked for more given today’s market? I work client side and had a woman in my team just put in her notice because she got an offer from another company for much more than she’s making here. Is $60k for a fully remote mid-level (3-5yrs exp) design position reasonable? If I rehire at the same salary will I get someone who will feel underpaid? It’s a state org so the benefits are amazing - but I don’t want to find myself in a situation where someone feels under valued from day 1. Thoughts, creative fishies?

Big, meaty campaign ideas are either given to our agency (understandably so) or wither away from poor internal management.
