How is your performance, what is your tenure, and how is your relationship with your manager? If all these are in a good place, and your manager is a good person, they will understand and support you. You may need to get creative working at night on some projects or something but this is definitely a situation that calls for empathy and support. The timing is not ideal but it rarely is. And most importantly - hugs, mama. I’m so sorry you’re going through this and sending prayers and good vibes your way.
I think this would fall under FMLA. Your employer may not like it, but too bad for them because your baby needs you and it is legally protected. Figure out how to get FMLA at your company.
I don't think it matters because it's a separate medical issue for family. It's not for you, it's for your baby.
You and your child’s health is #1…and I would hope that your employer supports you and whatever you need. Big hugs
Depends on the employer / manager - if it’s outside of FMLA, you can request to use PTO or unpaid leave. I would hope that they would be sympathetic to your situation, but I’d be super straightforward - your daughter needs surgery and is being hospitalized for this long, you cannot work from XX to XX dates.
