So...what did you non Indian ladies think of Indian Matchmaking on Netflix? 😀 Now you know why I’m single.
I'm not going to get back 5 hours of my life. Watched "Indian Matchmaking". Full of incredulous stereotypes that I abhor. Indian here, btw.
Watching the Indian Matchmaking on Netflix. Every other minute a guy or his parents are asking for "fair skin." 🤦 PS: I am not Indian and really don't want to offend anyone, but I think this is not a positive messaging for young girls.
Desi Consultants!! - who all are thinking of hiring Sima Taparia (after watching Indian matchmaking on Netflix) for finding your future significant other?
Who makes you cringe the most between Pradhyumaan, Arapna and Akshay? Also, Nadia is 😍! (referring to Indian Matchmaking on Netflix)
Saw some of these posts and decided to shoot my shot...25/M/Indian (Cue the Indian Matchmaking memes) NY (Not born, but raised) Hmu if you’re interested in talking/seeing where things go, ideally looking for something long term
I wonder if Sima in Indian Matchmaking (show on Netflix) would be willing to fly to NYC to set up a non-Indian person. She’s the real deal it seems.
I’m finally watching Indian matchmaking - and honestly I think this style of introducing people based on families, matchmaker should be way more common. So many people make terrible partner choices. More Sima Aunties!
Anyone watching Indian Matchmaking? Aparna and her mother have to be the worst, right? She thinks she's a godsend and quite frankly she looks like a potato, is ignorant, doesn't sound nearly as intelligent as she professes to be, and is even more negative than I am! That's gotta say something.
Unpopular opinion: Don't understand what people are loving about Indian Matchmaking I do not find it hilarious and do not find Nadia adorable 🙄
After watching Arpana and her attitude in Indian Matchmaking, purani kahawaat yaad aagayi... “ Na shakal na *^*^* Aur nakhre unchi unchi”
“You know what I hate about people? When men I’m on a date with start taking to other people. When they talk to the bartender and have a real conversation.🤯” - Aparna from Indian Matchmaking That line told me everything I needed to know about why she’s still single🤦♀️
“The realization that you can meet someone and it can just feel easy and not like work is amazing” —Rupam, Indian Matchmaking
Fellow 🐠 and 🦈, need advice/witty response ideas to the questions: 1. Are you going through the same thing as what was shown in Indian matchmaking? 2. Why don’t you hire sima aunty to help you? F**k Indian matchmaking!
Didn’t know Indian matchmaking has become so progressive until I started watching this show. Just wow.
For anyone who watched Indian Matchmaking and didn’t like Aparna- READ THIS. Totally changed my mind on her, wow. TLDR: it was all editing, purposely focusing on the entertaining (and negative) sides of her. So many good things she said were kept off camera. https://www.filmcompanion.in/streaming/netflix/indian-matchmaking-netflix-they-wanted-everyone-to-hate-me-aparna-shewakramani-on-life-after/
So I’m late to the Indian Matchmaking series. Is it the guy who has to be wealthy and the women who need to come from wealth? There doesn’t seem to be a lot of emphasis on what the women do for a living, but the men all seem either well-off or getting called losers. Is that what people look for in real life too? So there’s no place for women on the come up to be with someone above their own social class?
30 m ny/nj. US citizen. Moved as a teenager. INTJ. Single since I figured I’m not fighting the biological clock and have all the time in the world to meet someone and get settled. Things changed after I watched Akshay’s mom (Indian Matchmaking) tell him even 25 is too late and not marrying somehow messes up lives of people around him. While the show was staged, there might be truth to the latter part. Looking for F in ny/nj. Personality: NOT Aparna. NOT Nadia but def more Nadia than Aparna.🙏
Hey ladies! Anyone in here have locs? I’m planning to begin my loc journey in a few months and wanted some insight on how your locs are received in the workplace. I’m a little nervous about it.
Best credit card for someone who doesn't travel a ton and spends most of their money at the grocery store or out at restaurants. Best bang for your buck. More rewards, less annual fees. Go.
Agency reached out to me in regards to an open CD position at their company. They want me to throw a salary $ at them before proceeding with even speaking. A flag/isn’t that illegal? Best answer? NYC.

Anyone hope the masks persist past COVID? Just realized how much sense it makes especially for people preparing food or kids spreading germs
TFW the CEO of your company comes upstairs to ask if you know where the PMS color tones are and you're a copywriter and answer "idk what PMS is" and he goes "oh yes you do!" 🙄
Any other big 3 🐠 get a small twinge of disappointment when you match with someone from the big 4 on dating apps? Is this just me? Lmao

I’m interviewing at a really casual creative agency today and I want to wear something that is definitely put together but still shows my style. How far is too far? Sneakers okay if they’re clean?
I feel like Marriott Bonvoy is only getting worse. I was assigned a new ambassador, who would intentionally wait for one business day before responding to my email questions tbc
Pregnant with my first. Recently moved to a new city so don’t have a ton of friends. How do I meet new mom friends to do things with during leave so I don’t go stir crazy? Apps? Social media groups?
