Not every PO is useless – that’s a wrong assumption. It seems like in your case, the frustration is coming from specific experiences. At CBA India, internal politics definitely play a big role, and yes, a lot of people here focus more on taking credit for others’ work rather than adding real value. But that’s not limited to POs – it’s more about certain individuals, especially in middle management. It’s important not to generalize the behavior of a few to an entire role.

Forgive the basic question but can you contract around state statutes? For ex, customer wants to insert state contractor payment statutes and have that state law govern. I’m assuming the way around this is to have another more preferable state as choice of law?

How did you learn those skills, and what types of documents do you speed read in practice? I do mostly litigation and am thinking that speed reading would help with research but maybe not things like doc review where you need to review for both responsiveness and privilege.
