Strategy& fish - i’m currently recruiting for org strategy. Ive talked to associates (in the healthcare practice) and theyve mentioned that it doesnt matter whether youre in corp strategy, org strategy, etc and that you’re pretty much pooled by industry when it comes to staffing.
Can someone confirm this? Also, what do you expect the restructuring to look like?

Ultimate goal? Maybe CFP. However, I just started studying for my APMA (Accredited Portfolio Management Advisor) designation so I can have discretion over client accounts. Not sure how useful it is in the broader industry, my new job requires it. Sounds as if it would be right up your alley, however.
Industry peers of mine have taken a few different routes in their continuing education - some are doing the certified divorce financial analyst (CDFA), a master's in tax (lots of online programs), master's in financial therapy (Kansas State University), equity compensation analyst (ECA), certified private wealth advisor (CPWA), chartered special needs consultant (CHSNC), accredited estate planner (AEP), enrolled agent (EA), etc.
I personally think the ChFC is a joke - if you're going to do the coursework for the CFP cert, put in the time to understand the material enough to pass the test.
Lots of options to specialize into what makes you curious - major props to you for committing to bettering yourself for your clients! Cheers 🥂
To boot, the CFP cert is baseline. Get that then add some extra flavor if you want 👍
