Been with my current company for 6 years. Started in customer service and added HR responsibilities year 1. Now do on-boarding,recruiting, phone screening, interviewing, salary negotiation, offer letters, medical enrollment, and revamped employee handbook. I hold the HR Manager title when dealing with paperwork but my CEO still has not made an official announcement and my pay is not the market rate of an HR Manager. Majority of my work is still in Customer Service.
What do I do now?

Had a final round interview call with the CEO of a Series A startup scheduled for today. Yesterday he pushed it back by an hour but no showed today at the new time. Reached out to the recruiter and crickets. Common?

Today I had a 4th round interview and gave a 10 min presentation for a position I really want. I honestly love everything about this position and is my dream job. I thought it went really well & she seemed very positive. She said she would follow up with the ceo (who I already met with) and let me know about next steps. I was originally told there would be 5 rounds and with every other round I’ve known next steps before I left the interview. This time I had to wait. Is this a good or a bad sign?

Can someone please enlighten me on why someone higher up, ie: group CD, CEO, etc. would want to interview with someone like me, a mid-level copywriter? Just wondering what they're looking for, especially if I've already interviewed with the CD. Are they just trying to see if my personality would match the environment and culture?

Had final interview at startup with CEO and would-be direct supervisor and at the end they were using language like "you'll be our first [name of role]"... Does this mean I basically got it, or should I not read into it? I'll find out soon anyway, but appreciate any speculation 😅

Interview next week for a fintech VP role (real VP reporting to CEO, not the fake traditional finance VP titles) and have no idea what target salary should be. Glassdoor is all over the place. Trying to crowdsource a reasonable number.

Interviewing with a company. Nailed the HR and CEO interview and was asked to have another round with the Directors below not for an interview but to just discuss how we will work together. It turned out that it was another proper interview without even time to ask questions (which was very awkward). How should i read this?

Can anyone provide insight into IA roles for credit unions and insurance companies? Been interviewing and I’m unsure. For the credit union, I would be the only IA as it’s a new role they’ve created - they haven’t had any IA’s in the past as the duties were shared between depts. I would report directly to CEO. For the insurance company. The department consists of 3 senior auditors and a manager. I would report to the manager. They both seemed to be slower paced than PA which is what I want.

Had three interviews for a role at a startup and was scheduled for a final round with the CEO and hiring manager. The final round interviews were rescheduled once and now canceled due to calendar conflicts (always told the day of). Followed up with HR, HR told me it’s been slow getting corporate feedbacks ( CEO). Followed up with CEO, he told me to check status with recruiter. But they just refreshed the post about the job yesterday on various site- means they passed on me ?? I thought the interview went very well. :(

Had a third interview with CEO of tech startup last week. Now the HR manager emails me saying she wants me to 'hop on a call' with the CFO tomorrow. Client’s CEO wants more earned media but his team has turned down every interview or guest editorial opportunity I’ve brought them. Usually the excuse is that they don’t feel qualified to talk on the topics even though they are. Any good strategies for getting them all on the same page and comfortable with media opportunities?

Interviewed for a senior technical position at a startup (about 50 employees). During the interview the CEO spent about 20 minutes answering my questions. There was no discussion about my technical skills or experience.
They emailed that they are working on an offer. Is the interview process a redflag? The only technical screening that happened was the HR lead's 10 minute phone call.

So I had an interview with a company (3 rounds actually) which went pretty well. I even rearranged my schedule for last minute interviews because it’s the job that I really want. My recruiter said that they all love me & even wanted me to speak to the CEO. Then they needed a few days to speak with another candidate. After a few days, I was told that they needed another day because the other candidate couldn’t interview with the department lead. I’m really worried now. How should I take this?
