Anyone who has made the switch from FDD to FP&A: Is FP&A easier to learn at the financial analyst level? I’m a 2nd year associate in FDD and struggling to pick things up quickly to the point where its a 50/50 whether I get promoted to Sr I’ve been told. As a result, I’m looking at FP&A as a possible exit.
Anybody want to drop some good resume bullets outlining your FDD experience as a Senior? Looking for some inspiration...
I have an FP&A offer at a place I really want to work at and could see myself there for a long time. It’s senior level and pays pretty good. I’ve always thought about TAS and the firm said they will move me there if I stay. Should I stay with the firm and move into TAS? The salary is about the same to stay and I could make manager next summer. Completely torn.
Differences Between Big 4 TAS and MM TAS (Experience, Exit Opportunities, Compensation/Benefits, etc.)
Looking to break into TAS. I have my CPA. 3 years of audit and 1.5 years in industry. Any advice? I was recently laid off and am debating whether it’s worth waiting until hiring starts back up.
Coming from Big 4, would TAS at a regional firm be easier? I’m a first year Sr and do fine on the smaller deals, but really struggle in the 1B+ complex transactions from a data processing POV to the point that I feel I’m not cut out for this with the mental toll the stress of it has been having on me.
If anyone is willing to take a look at my resume - I am hoping to make a jump at 1 year in assurance to any kind of consulting work. I am applying to open positions and am worried that my resume is...
If your firm is hiring interns, please DM me... my friends who’re getting their MBAs (specifically from Columbia and NYU Stern) are looking for internships and clearly coronavirus hasn’t helped them. Thanks for the help.
Thoughts on MM FDD (Duff and Phelps type shops) vs Big 4 FDD exit opportunities? Is the difference drastic?
Anyone from FDD exited to MM or boutique IB as an associate? If so, could you elaborate how you did so, age, level you were in FDD. Thanks!
