Does anyone have the experience of taking on a global mobility assignment from Deloitte US to Canada? If so, was your work permit processed under intracompany transfer without LMIA? I'm trying to figure out if accepting the assignment will get me over the CRS cut off...

I am feeling some depression due to COVID and I want to move back to Misouri to be closer to my parents, but I'm worried about looking for jobs outside of the major tech cities and moving in general. Any advice?

One of my frustrations with myself (writing it out here so I can work on it) is that I will print out something that I need, such as a traffic collision report. I will read it without actually reading it. This results in spending time without actually retaining info. Does this happen to anyone else? I’ve found that I can actually focus when I truly force myself, but often this happens after I’ve discovered an error or an important piece of information that I should have noticed earlier.

Is negotiating offers the norm now? I’ve been at my company awhile and at the time I was hired they said they don’t do negotiations, take it or leave it and they’d offer the next person. I do believe we renegotiate now, however I’m not sure if it’s the rule, the exception, or somewhere in the middle?

I think KPMG has a pretty good training and onboarding process for new FDD hires (Lakehouse bootcamp, reading and training materials for review, and the shadow program). How’s onboarding and training looking like for PwC / EY / Deloitte?
