I'm up for election next year. Kind of feel like I'm in Squid Game right now.

I've signed on to this, I'm really close to the end, but at a certain point I feel like I just want to check out of the game (and go in-house or something).

Got sort of an exploding offer on hand. Verbal only so far and requiring decision by Monday pretty firm. Have 3 more processes ongoing in mid-late stages and expect to wrap up probably next week. Gut feeling is I want to take the company who gave the exploding offer though. Any advice on how I can respectfully wrap up other processes/ask for extension?

My wife and I don’t fight, but share 0 interests outside of the kids and can’t stand to be around each other. I’m so ready to leave… I just can’t bear the thought of doing it to my children even though another part of me feels like wife and I would both be better parents if our lives were separate. Anyone feel like your job sees you as "one of the good ones?" It hasn't explicitly been said, but I'm one of the only Black attorneys at the firm and I think my white colleagues and partners see me as an example of how Black folks "should be" cause I mind my business. Basically I feel like a token, and I don't know how to shift that idea while staying professional.
