1) partner pension - I heard they are changing the formula. Can you elaborate on what the change is and if you feel it hurts new partners?

2) partner buy in - what is the actual buy in $ amount? I've heard $250k but wanted to confirm.

I don’t like my firm and trying to switch. I’m a licensed rep but not a FA, a 401k guy. Interviewers always ask why I am looking to leave. I try to explain the structure isn’t a good fit...

Got approached by another agency (media) regarding a Director role. Somewhat nice client and benefits +30%, but when the offer came, salary and responsibility were as discussed but title downgraded to Associate Director.

Between my students loans and living expenses, I’m having a panic attack over my money. Thought I’d me making much more. Only a first year associate but scared I’ll never make good money.

I remember when I first started working on my thesis project. My adviser asked me to get some funding for it, but he didn't give me any advice about how to do that. He just told me that if I wanted money for my project, I'd have to go through some kind of committee process and submit an application for funding from them. Sure enough, after weeks of writing applications and waiting around for responses from the committee members (who were always too busy), I eventually got approved for funding!

How do you know when it’s time to move to another agency? Do you think it’s important that a strategist works at a few different agencies to get a sense of the various approaches?

I like the idea of a side gig. Something to do outside my house where I already have a full time WFH marketing job. But what to do? IE. I like baking but I don’t want to do it professionally. I like coffee but I don’t want to open a cafè.
