Each time a Republican became president, a war in the Middle East was started 🤔

Republicans start wars and financial crisis.
Democrats resolve them.

The president of peace!
To be fair, I’d be curious to look at US troop deaths by president (annualized). He’s certainly less than Bush and Obama, and possibly even Biden?

To be fair, that view ignores almost all of the context of what was actually happening at the time.
It should not be surprising that Obama’s numbers were higher, considering he inherited two active wars from Bush. The Iraq War did not end until 2011, and the Afghanistan surge occurred during his presidency. The broader GWOT theater was still very active.
By the time Trump took office, those large-scale conflicts had largely wound down. U.S. involvement had shifted mostly to smaller counterterror missions and advisory roles. It shouldn’t be surprising that his annualized troop deaths were much lower than his predecessors.
Looking at the numbers, I see roughly Trump at about 16 combat deaths per year and Biden around 4 per year.
Trump is #1 in everything! Truly amazing! Best president ever!
