I saw who they hired during on campus interviews. Also, they overwork their juniors and treat them terribly. All of their articling students work out of a single room called “the pit”.

Clyde & Co.

Every time I sub in for them after they get dropped by a client, I’m stepping into a clusterfuck of questionable litigation choices such that I’m too often in front of a judge like 🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️ (It’s happened twice, different clients, both w Federal cases so the judges are already... of a type. Not fun.)

Pepper Hamilton.

Gibson Dunn.

Curious, which practice area was this?

Anyone commenting needs to say why.

That’s helpful context. Thanks.

Cravath... every time I’m on a case against them, they get replaced as lead counsel by someone else midcase.

Intl Tax folks, how long did it take before you were confident in your role? I've worked for the past 3 years in a practice that is heavily consulting based (inbound and outbound structuring) and I feel like I'm only just starting to understand the foundational concepts (where I can explain them clearly to clients) and offering a shred of value. Then I'll have calls where partners discuss complex tax, legal, treasury and other related concepts that all go over my head.. it becomes overwhelming
