Recent admit here - how important are these pre-MBA Virtual networking sessions? Feeling like it’s hard to network virtually.

Enrolled in Stern for a few weeks.
The number of the alumni and current students that go to top consulting firms FT& summer intern are countless even for a small class size.
Stern is way more than a finance school. Given its location, do you want to spend your 2 years in a rural area or heart of Manhattan? Location is almost everything for business school. (I have a friend in Cornell that frequently travels about 5 hours to NYC for events.)

Currently sitting on an offer for a intro/mid-level design engineer in the Raleigh-Durham Area and wanted to get an idea of the average paybands, online sites have such a large range (50k-400k) that it is hard to narrow in on a price to start negotiating

Considering getting my license and starting off as a real estate agent. I've always loved real estate, house flipping, interior design. What can I expect as income and time commitment as a brand new agent with no book of business? How hard is it to get established and become well known in my area? I'm in the Bay Area. Networking ... 🙌 You have likely heard this since your day 1 at D. Doing good work isn’t enough at D. Connecting with the right people can make or break your career at the firm. How are you continuing to build your network considering the indefinite move to virtual / remote work?

Just had an interview with Netflix and at some point I mentioned “GAFA” (even joking that it’s probably GAMA now) and completely forgot they’re in FAANG 😬

Will this be one of those moments I remember when going to bed for the rest of my life? Yes.
