Anyone in FDD at PWC? I was reading about the certifications required and it said that you can obtain a CPA, CFA, or MBA to get past senior level. Is that true?

Just used to being in Audit at big 4 where CPA is requirement. Would be much more interested in taking the CFA exam.

Any advice is appreciated

It's my turn to be pregnant. I'm so slow in my work, and I just failed my CFA exam. Our team announced promotion just now - people joined later than me got promoted before me now. I know I should prioritize myself at this stage, but I just feel bad...

CFA Exam in Aug. Should I bother? I initially signed up in 2020 Jan because I was wanting to join a hf at the time so I kind of needed it. At this point in my career, I’ve decided to go into corp strat/dev so I kept pushing the exam date back (using covid as an excuse). Should I still study for it and take it? It’s a lot of time commitment and I’d probably not have it on my resume anyway (only lvl 1) . I also paid ouf pocket for it so that’s another reason why I’m on the fence about ditching it.

Thoughts about listing “in progress” certifications? I am preparing for the CFA exam (registered for Aug) and will also be attending a course at the end of April for another certifications (also registered) which will be granted upon completion of the course. I was wondering if I were to apply for jobs in the near future, could I include them in my resume now and apply or wait until I at least complete the April course to include it in my resume and apply then?

McKinsey & Company Anyone asked McKinsey & Company to sponsor their CFA exam?

I work with the banking practice. Though I don’t see CFA to directly make a positive effect on the work I do, but it would definitely add more theoretical and financial knowledge.

I see that the co. has a policy if the team manager agrees then they sponsor. So just asking around for experiences. Thanks in advance!

Need CFA exam advice! I recently left financial due diligence and moved to industry to a strategy and deals role. I studied for the CFA all of 2020 but my exam was canceled twice, resulting in me getting a refund. I haven’t studied since Nov 2020 but still remember some materials. I did not get a refund for the kaplan course. The deadline for November exam is today. Is pursuing the CFA worth it at this point? Im 27 with almost 5 YOE. Should I just do level 1 and will that help career-wise?
