I’m an investment banking summer analyst at a major bank. I have an autoimmune disease and tend to get very sick very easily, especially when working long hours. I didn’t bring this up in the interview or hiring stages because I didn’t want it to disqualify me, and I hoped it wouldn’t be an issue, but the hours are really hurting my health. What should I do? I worked hard to get where I am, so I’d like to stay in IB if I can, but my health is obviously important too. Should I talk to my manager?
Manager told me I can’t take time off for my “appointment” Interview, what do I do from here? It already scheduled with people who are really high up in the company.
When my manager gives me a hard time I randomly ask for a half day or call out the next day for a Dr appt to create the impression I have an interview
How do you get away during busy season for several hours to interview? Should I say doc appointment and risk getting asked about coronavirus?...my manager is so nosy
Title bait and switch? How would you respond? I interviewed for a manager position and they asked me to consider a senior role instead. I have nearly 7 full years of experience in tax.

I’m interviewing for accounting manager with a pre-revenue company, it will start generating revenue this year, and has plan for IPO. I have total 7 years public accounting experience. How does $130k +10% bonus in Los Angeles sound, as I’m relocating from a lower COL? All jobs have risks, I know stability and staffing can be an issue. What other risks I should consider? TIA
A couple months ago I got passed over for an internal role, afterwards my manager said she’ll develop a plan for me to get promoted on our current team and we’ll revisit during mid-years. I just got an external offer that I want, would it look bad to accept after interviewing internally then making a promotion plan? I don’t want to burn bridges.
Best way to sell your P.A experience? Been going on interviews for manager roles and I’m being beaten out by those who have public and private experience.
When I interviewed, I literally said “EY is the place I want to retire at” (and I genuinely meant it). When I was staff, I thought I would quit after I make SM for a few years. Now as a Senior 3 everyday - “I hate my job. I won’t get promoted to Manager next year. I hate my life. When can I quit??”
Got invited for a second (case) interview. The interviewer is at least 3 professional years junior than me, one title below my applied position and I will probably be his manager if I get the job. This isn’t normal, right?
Had a third interview with CEO of tech startup last week. Now the HR manager emails me saying she wants me to 'hop on a call' with the CFO tomorrow. I already interviewed with him for the second interview. I'm not sure what to expect, it doesn't make sense that I would have another interview with him but I'm not sure what else it would be. Any ideas?

Leaving a job due to what I perceive is bullying. Is providing honest feedback during exit interview burning bridges? Perceived bullying is by a specific manager who just got promoted to CISO.
I lead 20 to 30 projects concurrently, a team of 10 to 15 resources and 10 YOE. I would think I have the skill set for getting a program manager job in industry but can’t get interview. What’s wrong?
My manager (VP of marketing) is actively interviewing elsewhere - she has interview slots on her work calendar (can be seen by everyone). Other events are marked private, but all the interviews are not. It’s so weird 😂
Manager in Austin with 5.5 yrs pro exp. Applying to tech industry Program Manager jobs asking 5+ years and finding few will pay above the $135K base I make today. Am I just looking at the wrong roles?
Feeling really drained by the job app process. Been applying for what feels like forever w/o luck of getting a final offer. I don't have an issue w/ getting in the door. So my resume and experience are not the issue. Feel I always get tripped up by hiring manager or team member interviews specifically with cases. How can I get better w/ thinking on the fly? I'm better with non-timed projects or tests as opposed to video interview cases and the sort. Note: looking to get into the tech industry.
Director approached me about making manager early....but I’ve been thinking about switching to cyber. I’ve been applying to cyber jobs elsewhere in the hopes I can make this happen. But now that he...

Considering the current situation how will a hiring manager view an email from me asking of next steps after a really promising interview I had over a week ago. She emailed me last Thursday con’td
I was interviewing for a position before Covid and was just about to do the final interview when the role got put on hold. It's opened back up again and the hiring manager reached out. They said they'd follow up this week with a time to do the last interview, but I havent heard back yet. Is it too soon to follow up?
Client is hiring for a role that we recommended and I want it. We're in the middle of a proposal and a key stake holder is the hiring manager. Worth applying to or not worth the risk?
If a position for which I had a first round interview has since been put on hold, would it be reasonable to ask for an informational interview with the would-be hiring manager? In my experience, "on hold" has always been synonymous with cancelled. It’s frustrating and I like this particular agency, so I just want to make the most of this. Maybe there are other ways to handle these situations?

Starting a new job, remotely, on Monday. I’ll be meeting the team through 1:1s throughout the week and am particularly nervous about conversations with the more senior members of the team, MDs and Directors, whom I didn’t meet during the interview process. What should the focus of these conversations be? Appreciate any insight, experience or tips! If you’re a Manager and above, what are you looking for in a new hire introducing themselves remotely?
Has anyone had luck in negotiating a higher title at a big pharma during the process? Like going into a Senior manager interview asking for AD or director? Assuming you have the qualifications.
There’s a job I like that asks for 7+ years of experience. I only have 3. Will I definitely be denied even with an interview? The role is “partnerships and strategy manager” at a tech company.
I thankfully still have an interview scheduled for an in-house AD role. How do I diplomatically find out from the hiring manager (who’s the head of brand) how much creative leeway i’m gonna get?
I am applying for a job at a consulting firm and it seems like the role I am applying for is a step down for me. I am really interested in moving from my current organization but wondering if I should first go through the process for the role advertised and then try to elevate it or rather bring it up front during the initial discussions with HR/hiring manager. Thoughts?
Need to tell my manager that I am interviewing for another team internally 😬. Any words of advice?

Hi, everyone. I’m copywriter looking to break into UX writing. I don’t have a lot of UX work in my portfolio. I’ve mostly worked on digital campaigns on social media and some website writing for brands. I’m wondering what I need in my portfolio to help me get a job as a UX writer. Is there anything specific I should include? Anything I should learn and prep for interviews? I don’t have money to go back to school unfortunately.
