Would love anyone’s insight on this. I am an AM and have been working in media for the past 5 years. I’m trying to transition internally from Sales to Marketing. I interviewed but didn’t get the role and the hiring manager suggested I take a course to fill in the gaps in my experience. I looked into the courses and they are about $5k. My question is - is it reasonable for a company to expect me to pay for this development or should the company cover those costs and invest in their employee?

People realize the recession is only just starting right? So far we have only had a few rate rises, with many more to come. Stocks are down a little, but only just barely into bear territory. Major companies will be reporting large losses soon, but that hasn't happened yet, and the market will react to that.

No major companies have begun large layoffs yet, either, so far we are only seeing a few minor hiring freezes. And of course we haven't seen bankruptcies yet, but they are surely coming.

Anyone at Booz have any experience in the Data Analyst role? Currently have TS/SCI FS and starting Georgia Tech masters program in January so i really want to get into data analytics work in the cleared space

Realistically if you are not in a solutions architect / maker role, where do our salaries top out for non-PPMD jobs? IE. HCD strategy/design. Finding it hard to get a consistent look across firms.

I was just talking to a younger friend who goes to Cal and It seems like the kids these days hate FAANG or at least Amazon and Facebook are not desired at all. I personally don’t see too many issues working at either Amazon or Facebook because I work at Deloitte where I’m sure we have many questionable clients and worked in financial services before. Curious on whether people are thinking about the ethics of their exit company when deciding to move?
