Applying for 2 roles at Deloitte (Client Delivery Consultant - ConvergeHealth) in NYC. I have friends who at D, but is there anyone in that group or an MD that would have more leverage in a referral?
Offered a role to start in 2 weeks. I have a vacation planned out for a large family event last week of July. Do I tell them the first day I start or now? I don’t want the start date to push as it’s doubling my comp and the benefits are better
I can’t help but feel that the partners in my practice have already decided who they’re investing in to help develop and promote—and it doesn’t include me. I’m a high performer and well-liked, but I see other people at my level and above still get preferential treatment and I think this is hindering promotion. My only solution is to find an exit to another firm. Has anyone else been in this situation and also found their only way to solve this was to leave?
If anyone would like a referral into Deloitte's SAP practice (any and all modules of SAP, 1y experience minimum), feel free to DM me to discuss. There's a large hiring need for the US practice!
Is it normal to approach random people / recruiters on LinkedIn and ask them for a referral for a position at their company? How do I go about getting referrals for jobs that I want?

How feasible is it to leverage your experience as an SA pre-MBA to a TPM, PM, PMO or other management role post-MBA (M7)? If its not a reach, how do you position yourself if asked about management experience during the interview? Note: Due to personal circumstances, I can't wait the additional 2 years I would need to become manager before going to an MBA though I would do so if I could.
I’m a jr litigation associate with many years of tech work pre law school. A former coworker has offered to submit my resume for a legal role at her company (also tech) basically doing contract and privacy work as well as other tasks relevant to my former work life. My current resume is full of litigation experience from law school, since my resume is written for applying to lit positions. On the one hand, it bolsters my legal experience. On the other, it’s not relevant to this role. Do I cut?
EY hasn't delivered on promises made during my hiring. It's time to go. I've been a top rated SM for the last 5 years, with deep, relevant, cross sector experience in IoT, RPA, and digital where to?
What would make you take a chance on someone for a role? I have a strong reputation within my network, but I'm trying to get staffed in an area outside it. (From SAP to digital native technologies)
Does anyone works as a Financial Analyst at Amazon AWS mind chatting with me please? Feel free to comment below your insights regarding the position/ interviews! Thank you!
Got referral to a role I was interested in. During initial call with recruiter, she told me that I should also check out other firms as well. She's going to schedule an interview but it was weird that she suggested that I check out other firms
Fishes, looking for recommendations on growing business development and sales skills. Finding and growing pipelines, establishing marketing materials, closing sales, and similar for services. I have on the job experience within consulting but never any formal training or education. Entering a new role where I'll need to build organizational capabilities from scratch. Any recommendations on programs, certificates, courses, books, or other similar ideas would be greatly appreciated. TIA!
I turned down a job 5m ago & said job role was #1 reason, but also I was going to be moving cities. Now that I’ve moved, okay or weird to email recruiter to see if any ops at company (large network)
Well I just got rejected from a role because I'm over qualified. I guess that's a compliment / something.

Just hit the 1 year mark as a post-MBA consultant at a T2 and realizing consulting isn’t for me. Are there any industries where someone with 5 YOE and MBA can get a senior manager or director role with $200k+ total comp or should I expect a pay cut?
Anyone familiar with the Mini MBA run by Marketing Week’s Mark Ritson? I’ve seen a lot of promotion of the program in the last few weeks and it starts tomorrow. Curious if anyone has either done it, or know others who have. I’m a 10-year veteran in the marketing/advertising space and wondering if I’ll derive much value from it. Thanks for the help. 🙏
What is the most craziest thing you done on a Thursday homebound flight? Got drunk and done what? Any crazy stories?

Any advice for dealing with a client who is chronically late to calls or blows them off entirely? I don’t even get a courtesy note about running late or having something come up. I’m getting annoyed with wasting my time prepping for calls that don’t happen and waiting on the conference line when there are other things I could be doing instead.
What's better for MBA prospects? Associate Product Marketing Manager (APMM) at Google or making MC at Accenture as a top performer?
Work locally and only work with client (never with the rest of the team) any idea how I should go about telling them I'm working from home on Friday since that expectation hasn't been set yet ?
Does having dinner with colleague with the opposite gender = having a date in the workplace? I was reading some news about Bill Gates and found it is being implied this way. I am not interested in Bill Gate’s story - this is a general question about what is appropriate in workplace. It’s common to have working lunch with colleagues (sometime two people with opposite genders in a small team) in consulting (especially pre-COVID), but it looks like “dinner” has quite a different meaning?
