Would it be difficult to get a job in IA if most of my experience has been auditing private non-404 asset mgmt funds? I really enjoy process walkthroughs when I have them though. Also, does title matter that much in IA? I’m a manager now, but based on job descriptions it looks like I might have to go for a senior auditor role because audit manager roles generally call for 8+ years from what I’m seeing. Can title be negotiated?
Going into an internal Audit SOX role coming out of public accounting as a Senior Auditor. Are there any references and guidebooks you all would recommend to read up on before I start the role? I’m looking at buying a couple books to help the transition.
Which European country big4 office is open for unqualified accountants? For senior auditor role. Thanks!
I was let go back in April and I was offered a role recently for a Senior Auditor at a midsize firm for $70,000 in California. It’s a $20,000 pay cut from my last role. Is it worth it
Got an interview with KPMG next week for senior auditor position. Can anyone gives any input (e.g. What questions do they ask? How’s the process looks like?) Thanks
Left EY to move to Europe and find a new job that’s not auditing ... and literally the only job interview I have lined up so far is with Deloitte EU side for a senior auditor position! -_-
Have an interview for a senior auditor role at a well-known university. Anyone have experience with IA for universities or thoughts on this?
Anyone on here come from or exit to VW or Audi (or know anyone who works there)? They have a lot of interesting jobs posted on LinkedIn - wondering what the culture is like.
OW 🐠 applying for entry level CCG role, does my office preference play any factor? If so, what office yields a better chance/actively hiring?
Any sr. analyst specific interview questions I should know? I am coming from entry level IT consultant role
Hi all! For an experienced hire as a Human Capital Consultant at Deloitte, what should I expect the salary/sign-on bonus to be at a MCOL city? I have approx. 3.5 YOE (non-consulting), MBA and MS degree (non target school) and also SHRM certified (which is probably irrelevant for the role but thought I’d share anyways). Already did my research but the range is kind of all over the place for experienced hires so just want to have a ballpark. Thanks!
Analysts: do you find yourself not making an impact in meetings? Just started a new role and at most I simply take notes, rarely am I asked for input. Is this normal or should I be making an impact?
Received an offer as a senior fund accountant, but I’m not 100% sure fund accounting would be for me. I feel like it may limit exposure and potential future opportunities compared to a typical senior accounting role. It’s a great company so I’m having trouble making a decision.
My group (Regulatory Compliance) within EY Advisory is hiring. We have 25 "Senior" level open spots. If you are interested, send your resume to email@example.com, and I can refer you.
Hiring a photographer (friend of a friend) for an hour to take pics during my proposal. He asked what my budget is - anyone had experience with hiring photographers? What's appropriate $ for an hr?
Any BCG fish know if the firm offers relocation assistance for someone accepting a corporate function role which requires a move?
A recruiter PM’d me on LinkedIn asking if I’d be interested in a mid-weight copywriter role. I’m currently a global ECD. Recruiters: Talented people need these roles. Do your damn jobs and help!
Is it a better exit strategy to get deep technical experience or strategy experience? I was told during recruiting that 1 year here = 2 year in industry, but I’m not seeing how that trickles into tech
Got an offer for a role I love. Spoke with management, and the CDO. Ended up offering me 15k less than original, saying they rolled back some qualifications. What gives? Is HR holding money back
Looking for a director / svp-level digital role. Have experience running social for a major US ad agency and a great resume. Anybody know of anything?
Associate at laid back small firm (15 attys) with 5 yrs exp weighing lateral to AmLaw200 for corporate/M&A. Current firm has no billable req (avg. about 1600 a year) while new firm has 2000 hour req. I’d make at around 50k more per year by lateraling, but concerned with the work life balance and exit opps from biglaw in a few years (envisioning 2-3 years once I have paid off debt). I’d also make partner at current firm in about 2 yrs FWIW. Thoughts from those who have made a similar jump?
Anyone who made the jump from ACN to a non-technical role in Tech willing to chat? Looking for general guidance as I look more long term. Thanks!
Industry exit ops for consultants?
4 years into career. I have two offers on the table. One from another Big4 firm and one from medium sized firm. Same role. Same level (SCon). Smaller firm paying 20k more. Worth staying Big4? Or go 🤑
Hello People, @Nagarro, what is the role of Associate Principal Engineer and Avg. salary at this position with 11+ Yrs exp.
I've had a junior (by level but not age) client resource that has been rude and disrespectful since the day he joined a couple weeks ago. I finally had enough today and told him off in an email and called him out for his disrespectful tone and language. My director (who was also on the email) sent me a ping saying that I wasn't out of line and that it was warranted and he'll handle any reactions stemming from that exchange. Nice to know that he has my back ...continued
Is Pepsi Strategy good to exit to and what are the exits? I’d be joining as a Strategy Sr Analyst. 3YOE, I’d ultimately like to join Consulting again just in a different practice area so want to make sure the exit is a good one.
Ladies, is it selfish to not want a "project" type SO? Like wanting someone who is already somewhat on the same wavelength? I keep going back and forth and sometimes feel bad I didn't move forward with a relationship if the guy (I felt) had things to work on (e.g. maturity, debt/finances, independent decision-making, etc). I see comments or hear stories about how woman have helped their man become better, and maybe I'm just not trying hard enough? How do you find the right balance?
PWC mumbai or Wipro Gurgaon which one shall I join considering work life balance, on site opportunity, work culture PWC might deploy to domestic or international clients, for wipro I am selected for an international client. H1B visa and 6 years are almost up. Received approved perm and waiting on I-140 followed with the 3 year extension. To switch from company A to company B - what are the factors that are to be considered?
For those that have DOE student loans, what are your interest rates like? Mine is around 6% (was before COVID) and am trying to figure out if that’s too high and I should refinance.
It seems Campaign article on parental leave has made many rethink their attitude on the subject. Shame on you for only changing when you feared for yr reputation. And not when employees demanded it.
I’m a Junior accountant, recent MBA grad in Finance, located in NYC, just got laid off due to a merger. Anybody hiring or know any opening positions?
Is there an easy way to calculate an hourly freelance rate? Say…I wanted to keep an equivalent lifestyle to a $150,000 annual salary, what do I need to make hourly to match that knowing I won’t receive benefits. And should it be higher because it’s freelance?
A client based in Japan had sent us a list of some Japanese texts and their English translations at our request which we needed. SM: Copy all the Japanese texts and their translations from document that client sent into a new document and send it back to client (to whom it came from) and ask them if they are correct. Me: Why are we doing that? SM: Just to ensure that we have validation in an email that client sent these translations to us. Me: Facepalm 🤦🏻♂️
Is it tacky to send goodbye letter to client?
Having a tough time building client relationships. I can be quite social, but natural introvert. In a staff aug situation where team is all much older and good friends. Feel quite awkward outsider
Is it ever too early to make partner? I left a senior associate position after 2.5 years as I was miserable. I’m coming up on 2 years with a solo, who approached me about my interest in partnership. I’ve only been licensed 5 years.
