Hey all, please give me some ❤️ so I can send a dm
Hello Fishes,
Has anyone got call from management regarding back to office? My base location is Bangalore and management seems to be in progress of calling employees back to work approx after 18th April.
Does anyone have any idea what's the management decision about back to office? Is it confirmed or still planning?

2 years is the standard. Less than that is for exceptional talent that is operating above and beyond their job
My manager tells me I’m passing expectations but keeps giving me more expectations I don’t see others getting.
Would have an open an objective conversation more around expectations that you need to meet to be promoted versus why others and not you.

Are those people at the same level

Ok so they started at your level meaning you both were data analysts when you joined the company - how long were they there before you? If they were there 2-3 before you got there (or had more transferable experience, overall experience before) this makes sense. How often does your company promote, could it be coming at year-end? I would raise that with your manager soon.
If none of this stuff applies, I would have an honestly conversation about what you need to do to get there. Ask your manager if they think you’re ready? Set a timeline and document everything. Honestly sometimes this comes down to internal politics and bs, may need to leave the company.
Also once you get past the most junior levels, promotions happen less on a schedule and more on performance or merit (or company needs). It’s annoying, I hear you, I’m in the same boat honestly but hoping for promotion at YE.
Is your manager the one who promoted you? Do you have a coach/counselor assigned to you as well? Where do you work? I can help more if it’s like at Deloitte or similar
And then once you get those expectations, put them in writing via an email to follow up on the meeting. That way it’s in writing and then once you exceed those expectations, fully, there, you have your proof that something else is happening.
Maybe promotions don’t happen until after the two year mark then after that they can happen more often.
In communications, remain professional and respectful and avoid blaming or blaming. Generally speaking, managers are willing to listen to employees' concerns and work with them to support their career development. If you are not satisfied with the responses or support provided by your manager, then you may consider discussing it with Human Resources or exploring other opportunities to achieve your career goals. Most importantly, take proactive steps to advance your career.
