Recently flew American Airlines and my onward flight was delayed resulting in me not being able to make it to my connecting flight. Since I knew this in advance, they had to rebook me on a flight the next day - I lost out on an entire day of travel. The next day, my flight was delayed prior to take off by 2.5 hours. How do I seek compensation for lost time?

Does anyone have any advice on how to navigate friendships with people with steeply lower EQs? I’m incredibly empathetic and feel like some of my friends can be so cold and callous when I go to them for support, mostly due to their very analytical nature.
Had a nightmare last night. Started out positive because I was traveling and to a new airport. Turned bad when I realized I had to fly American.
Thoughts on American Airlines elite requirement adjustments? I assume we won’t start traveling until early summer so it’s still going to be hard...
Second credit card: currently I am 23 and have the chase freedom unlimited. Most of my expenses are related to food, dining, bars and some travel...(American Airlines is choice of airline, and Uber for ground). Can someone recommend a secondary card I can use for food and some travel with zero or a small annual fee?? Thanks in advance!
Help: Traveling for 8 hours. American Airlines. Boeing 787-8. I’m 6’5”. Upgraded seat worth it? And where’s the best one? I’m typically a United flyer and usually go bulkhead/right behind first class (better than first class for room IMO).
I just took my first flight in 5 months to go on PTO. Went to Cancun and felt safer there than at home. I flew Delta and Jetblue and they are blocking middle seats and their cleaning procedures are good, everyone with masks - i would not fly American

Oh dear “American Airlines will start booking flights to full capacity in the coming week, ending any effort to promote social distancing on its planes even as the United States sets records for new reported cases of the coronavirus.”
I asked the gate agent if she had any aisle seats with a free middle seat bc I had to pump on the plane. She gave me an entire row to myself. ❤️ jetblue.
Supposedly traveling on our honeymoon in August to South Africa. Anyone know if we’ll have to stop and be quarantined if there’s a layover in Heathrow on the way home to USA? No one answering at British Airways and the online guidance doesn’t seem clear as South Africa is a “Red Listed Country.”
Anyone used Qatar airlines for travel to India? Would you recommend? I understand it may not be as good as Emirates, but I am hoping better than British/ United?

I’ve been feeling incredibly burned out lately (as many of us do) and trying to decide if I should take a leave of absence or sabbatical type of break. I had 2.5 years of exp in strategy consulting and 2.5 years in BizOps at Big Tech. I want to take some time off to relax and reflect on what I truly want for myself for the next few years and try to learn new skills like UX research or Coding. Is this crazy or something that people have tried to do in the past?

Just got approved for a transfer to a different office in a few months. When should I let my current team members know of my move? I assume I will get new client engagements at the new office.
Partner told me today year end review prep that promotion to next level depends on all the people “in line in front of” me who “have been waiting longer”. I was asked if it’s fair that someone who has been in the role longer is passed over for a junior person who is younger and less tenure. Do big firms even pretend that performance and progression matters? Why work hard if all one has to do is sit and wait until the next one up?
26, no kids or debt, making 175k/Yr - miserably bored at work and want to work for a startup. In the size startups I want for the role I want I’d have to take 50% pay cut Thoughts?

This is a long-shot, but does anyone have a connection at Duolingo? I’m hoping to speak to someone to learn more about the company’s culture and a couple of the open roles. The duolingo app has genuinely been so useful to me, and from the descriptions I think I would fit really well with what they’re looking for in an employee.
Anyone with experience negotiating Big 4 consulting salary? Curious how flexible they are with the pay scales.
