Oh dear “American Airlines will start booking flights to full capacity in the coming week, ending any effort to promote social distancing on its planes even as the United States sets records for new reported cases of the coronavirus.”
Won't fly American when we're back on the road. Boycott American. #BLM https://news.yahoo.com/american-airlines-sued-black-man-210217962.html
Nothing reminds me why I only fly Delta like flying American. A serious and heartfelt apology to those of you who endure this regularly...
If I fly American for 44 weeks out of the year, and I get 2 biscoff cookies per flight, and I take 4 flights a week, then I eat 352 biscoff cookies in a year 🍪
I might start grabbing the American Airlines magazine on my Monday flight and putting it in the delta flight pocket on my Thursday flight...
Flying out today. American airlines app says 'checked in', but no boarding pass, no seat. I call helpdesk they say "talk to gate agent" ...what does this mean?
Amex Platinum Question: I still haven’t used my $200 airline credit and have one flight left in 2019-going to the Bahamas. Can I use the $200 on in-flight duty free? Flying American Airlines.
Has anyone ever done a calculation on the overall value of the points that they accrue for flights and hotels? I fly American and stay with Hyatt on a weekly basis.
Have 145k AAdvantage miles saved up for a 2 person Japan trip next summer. Cutting it close the saver rates of 35k per person per flight, which could hinder flight flexibility. It worth getting another SUB, or is this usually a good enough stockpile for 2 people?
Best Holiday Gift 🎁 Hyatt concierge services called and offered Executive Platinum Status in American Airlines !!!! Currently globalist at Hyatt and platinum Pro in AA.
First time flying American in years. So no status. What are the other costs, charge for bags, pay for choosing seats, etc? And any work arounds? Usually fly southwest, but they do not offer service to where I’m flying. TIA
I’ve already hit annual spend for AA gold but need about 7700 EQMs (only at 15 EQS so that won’t cut it). Based on research a $400 flight is least expensive way to hit Gold. Worthwhile?
FA from the American Airlines safety video showed up in a dream last night. All I remember is her saying, “I know you have many choices of odd fantasies, so thank you for choosing me”. 🤔🤷🏼♂️
I have 90K chase, 50k Amex points and 45k American miles. Never redeemed my points. What’s the best usage that I can get out of these?
Will AA reduce the fee to upgrade to platinum pro if I get closer? For example I’m 60k EQMs now and offer is $1750 to upgrade to PP. if I get to 70k eqm will the upgrade fee be reduced?
anyone else excited for friday when american airlines flight attendants can stop shilling their their credit card on every flight?
Going to end up with ~99K EQM but will have over 15k in spend. Anyone have experience getting American to still give Exec Platinum?
Is it worth trying to get American Airlines to give me a voucher for the WiFi/entertainment system being out on a 6-hour flight?
On Monday my American Airlines flight was delayed seven hours due to a combination of factors including maintenance issues. What/how much should I request from the airline as compensation? Pts or $?
Is American extending status challenges? Mine expires in May and I’m 1K miles away from EQM requirement for Plat Pro :/
Anyone else see their AAdvantage account miles/dollars/ status drop this morning? Last night it showed me Platinum Pro; this morning it shows me as Gold with only 738 miles traveled.
Any way to buy EQM’s on AA? will be 2500 short of executive platinum and no way to fly the rest of the year.
Just signed up for AA earn status EQD’s. Based on this past year’s EQD, I would have qualified for the next level up. It says you can still earn status the traditional method. Seems like a no brainer
Quick way to pull FX exposure on bbg? Not EQS for FX/Geo exposure, but a specific company’s FX exposure?
So who here audits Delta? Looks like your risk assurance folk need to note a business continuity deficiency 🤓
Flying Delta, obviously delayed; in a boot so can't walk much and have to settle for Wendy's coffee. Fucking Monday's.
Anyone aware of a Delta fast track I could sign up for? Not a status match, just a from scratch fast track. Know they have done this in the past often aimed at specific companies. Thanks :)
25k miles or $400 for a round trip flight? United 1K but have never cashed in on miles, so no idea how much the miles are worth 🤗
Bonvoy Ambassador and lifetime titanium, have had enough with no perks whatsoever out of this and want to move to Hyatt ... what is the best way to get a status match?
Anybody gotten a status match from United? Currently AA EXP, already qualified for next year, based out of Chicago and debating if it's worth it.
Has anyone 'traded up' their United status? I'm close to 80K PQM and have heard stories of folks sweet talking agents to get to the Platinum 1K. Last year's tradeup fees was like $3,000 😩😩
I'm platinum with Enterprise. Is there a status match kind of a thing that I can do with Hertz to get platinum/Presidents Circle? Don't have a status with any airline yet
If I booked a flight to depart on 12/30/18 and return 1/2/19 how do the PQMs etc get split up on United?
Tried caviar for the first time... on my first class DXB-BOS Emirates flight. All those airline miles are finally paying off.
United just extended my global services status to next year. Appreciate the effort from them, bit I just don’t think I will fly anymore (unless it’s for vacation next year)...
Has anyone seen the changes to United’s loyalty program? Any thoughts on the PlusPoints or new qualifying rules?
Former coworker (IT admin) just got laid off (cost cutting). Any of your firms hiring in the SF Bay Area? How do I go about finding those roles for him? Any help appreciated. Thanks 🐠 🙏🏼
I was promoted to C this year and got a 16.1% increase. 12.2% on merit and 3.9% for the promotion.
Awesome article on Isaac Newtons investment in south sea company - even brilliant physicists aren't immune to speculative bubbles
Hi all, wrapping up a project at the moment and open for freelance senior/director strategy level projects in May/summer. NYC- based but will travel to LA and SF. Please DM for details. Thank you!
I was laid off from a resource management role, working with employees approaching or on the bench, working with managers to staff projects, and support functions like report creation, scheduling, etc. Roles like this are few and many large consulting firms have frozen internal hiring. Do you think it would be beneficial to get a SHRM cert? Would that help get a "talent related" HR role? Worth the money? I have a background in recruitment as well.
What are MBB exit salaries like in Europe? Looove seeing the 250-400k TC exits from our brothers and sisters in the US but what is realistically possible back on the old continent?
I wanna be an architect(just graduated from my bachelors 😩) Anybody interested in hiring a young aspiring architect with minimal experience blessed with great imagination, passion & practicality!
Anyone knows about Macquarie group? Getting interviewed by an associate director but don’t have too much info about salaries and work environment
Second year BTA- if I get on an internal role for 4-6months will that risk me not being promoted even if I do well in that role?
MBB🐠: You get $200M/90 in a case, acceptable to round to $180M/90? Friend said +/- 10% rounding is acceptable, but that seems pretty bold?
Recently hired into big 4 as an experienced hire into a well-established team, and so far not really feeling the love from anyone but the managing partner. Looking for suggestions on how to break in.
Is it possible, without a penalty of some sort, to set a last day of employment that is sooner than the standard two weeks notice?
Taking the audit CPA exam this weekend. Anyone have any insight on what to focus on (i.e. What is heavily tested. Im super nervous!!! Any insight at all would be helpful.
Kearney folks - are you going with the target date retirement funds for your 401K? The expense ratio is 0.43%. I don’t know much about this but wondering what the best strategy is.
Going on the bench this week and I’ve been interviewing with other firms. I am worried I will be forced to go into another project and will leave the firm immediately after. Do I avoid being staffed..
Any Big 4 fish who are not really pursuing MBB for exit ops... what are your exit goals?? And for what reasons? Trying to find options other than chasing MBB
