Is 55 - 60k a livable salary to live in NYC. This is for a junior art director position with their location in So ho. I know that salary wouldn’t work in Manhattan, unless I’m wrong, so I’m guessing I would have to live in a different borough? I come from a lower middles class family, parents work janitorial and factory, so no support from them.
What’s a good/reasonable salary to ask for as a Junior Art Director in NYC? This job would be the first agency job with that title, but my work is up to par. Obviously room for growth, but I wouldn’t need any hand holding (this extra statement felt important lol)
I have been a JUNIOR art director for about a year and 4 months, however I just got an offer as an Art director somewhere else. How much of a jump should I have? How much should my salary be?

Thinking it’s time to take a step back in 2021 after reevaluating my priorities. Tired of sacrificing my health and sanity for stupid things. What’s the best move for a strategist looking for a combo of good comp and a solid work/life balance - even if it means boring work or moving out of industry?
IR Associate here at a MM firm in NYC, 3YoE. Looking to get an estimate on the market for comp, as I’m looking to get ahead of comp talks and set a range to my manager. Current base 120, bonus last year was 50 on a 110 base but joined 1/4 of the way thru the year, so not sure how representative of a ratio that is.
Appreciate any and all insight. Thanks!

I really love my job and there is so much potential for my future in the company. I don’t see myself working anywhere else in the near future. However, I feel somewhat underpaid and cannot continue to work with my current salary due to inflation and life circumstances. On the other hand, I don’t think I have the capacity to take on more work in my role and be promoted unless I hand off some responsibilities, which I don’t see them doing. What would one do in my situation?
Pretty vague question.

Hello! I’m new to Human Resources (7 months). I definitely want a career and to be quite honest, make a lot of money. I wanted to know if anyone got their masters degree in Human Resources and recommends it or if studying and acquiring certifications should also suffice. I’m currently trying to decide between aPHR and SHRM. Thanks!
