I actually didn’t have a case lol. It was pretty severe behavioral that was complex tho. They were measuring my EQ for sure. I think because they knew my background (engineering, MBB, etc.), they assumed I could pass basic analysis and problem solving tests.

I had 1 on 1s with several executives and I could feel the judgement severely. They would interrupt me and mess with me and see how I could defend the things I’d mention - typically approaches I took on projects and why I did what I did.

This was definitely an atypical process, but I am working directly with a repeat PE platform CEO and he really valued personality and aura more than anything after talking to him more casually about when I joined. If you think about mid to senior level hiring, its more casual for sure and not as “can you think” type interviewing and this was for sure how it went for me even though I was 26 at the time.

Probably not helpful haha.

Has anyone seen any evidence that “confidential” engagement surveys are linked to reviews and raises?
I have heard murmurs of this. Been working my butt off in a very tough environment (great company, very toxic division) and they’re asking questions like “have you thought about looking for another job this year? Would you like to be working here next year? Does your work energize you?” etc. The truth is that I like the company and the work but I hope to move to another division next year.
