I have been looking at the curriculums for Harvard Business School's Master of Business Administration and Harvard Extension School's ALM in Management. They both have the same requirements (generally speaking) including a capstone course that serves as a field immersion course with the Master's in Management, which is fairly new. If I am not able to gain admission to Harvard Business School, but wanted a similar educational experience to become a consultant, should I attend Harvard Extension?

Does a masters from Harvard Extension School come with the same perks, open the same doors as regular Harvard? I’m guessing there’s always going to be a difference but seems like a good deal (it’s cheaper than some state schools) with a semi-prestigious datapoint to add to the resume? Would love to hear from folks who’ve done it.

Does anyone have experience taking the Marketing Management and Digital Strategy Graduate Certificate at Harvard Extension School or other certificate? Thoughts?

Just saw an old coworker post bragging about how she graduated from the most prestigious University in the world. It was obviously the Harvard Extension School…cringe

Are online Masters degrees any good? Do they carry any weight relative to conventional Masters from Ivy plus? So something along the lines of Harvard Extension school (Psychology degree), or Columbia Master of Social work…

Need some advice in terms of higher education.
I have 1 year of work ex in ZS-India as a Business Operations Associate & had high hopes of pursuing graduate degree from US/Europe. But due to Pandemic, all the hopes and wishes are pushed back indefinitely.
I was planning on completing some certifications meanwhile and came across Harvard Extension School Certificates. It'd cost me around $12K for a certification.
Would it be worth its cost when it comes to job market?

My partner is looking into going back to school for a masters in sustainability management. He is looking at a program through the Harvard Extension School Sustainability Management certificate. I’m wondering if anyone has done this? Or recommends a program they hear good things about? Preferably online so we don’t have to move! TIA!
