My coworker, a senior copywriter, was just laid off. They've got tons of experience. I've seen them churn out 5 individual scripts in an hour. Any leads I can throw their way?
I was making $130k as a senior copywriter at a smaller shop in NYC but was laid off. Did this salary give me an unrealistic expectation of what I’m going to make next, either in NYC or other markets?
I finally became a Senior Copywriter and then my entire team was cut and I got laid off. Now my only offers are for copywriter again. I’m torn between waiting for the title and needing a job. Advice?
My company just laid off my entire content team in NY due to budget cuts I’m looking for either a copywriter or senior copywriter gig. Any leads? Thanks in advance!!
I’ve been laid off due to lost business. Struggling to find junior strategist positions and agencies that hire at that level, not many do. Should I stick with what I enjoy or consider account?
My day has arrived. Today, I, a Tech Advisory Consultant, was smacked by a surprise afternoon layoff call. I was assured my PA review was nowhere near bottom 5%, but the machine of Accenture has inscrutable ways of determining High Performance. All ends are beginnings,
That moment when one idiot replies all to group of literally 1,000s of employees and then 50 people reply to be removed or tell them they replied all. Tempted to reply all "you're all fired".
1st interview for a job tomorrow, besides recruiter intvw, and recruiter was really interested in why I want to leave after only a year. Writing on the wall says layoffs. Is that an “ok” answer?
These are the threads we should frame and hang in all agency lobbies instead! "Just got laid off. Just found out I’m pregnant. Someone say it’s going to be okay, because that seem..." See full post https://joinfishbowl.com/post_2r395j
If you get laid off due to performance in a protected state, will you employer still be required to pay out accrued vacation, sick, and personal days?
Team was laid off. I was moved to a different service line. New service line manager salary is 10-20% higher than my current salary. No performance based raises this year at my firm. My utilization is low as I’m spending time getting caught up. Glad to still have a job but should I bring up a salary adjustment? Current plan is to wait until my utilization is on par with the rest of the team.
Adweek reporting on the impact of COVID-19 on the industry and the massive downturn and layoffs, yet still paywalls its news. Frustrating to say the least as we try to stay informed.
How hard is it to find a job when unemployed as compared to while still with your firm? Details (if too long, no need) We all know it’s harder, but haven’t had the experience of applying while unemployed. For those with this experience, all other things equal, as a percent (for example, 200% harder), how much harder would you say it is to find a new job 2 months after being unemployed vs. finding a job while still at the company you will be laid off from in a couple months?
I bet John’s still going to make millions this year. While he laid off thousands. https://www.adweek.com/agencies/omnicoms-organic-revenue-declined-23-last-quarter/?utm_source=postup&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=Agencies_Newsletter_200728170430&lyt_id=1157431
Knowing that layoffs are pretty much happening across Consulting because of Covid, any chances for re-hire somewhere down the line if the layoff wasn’t performance related?
With everything going on and a recent layoff, I’ve really been reevaluating my life. Is it dumb to leave all $ and perks behind for more fulfillment and passion. I’m looking for a new job but... cont.
I’m scared that my company will stop travel because of coronavirus and I think I will lose my mind.
I just spent 9 days trying to keep my SO from committing suicide. Took corona and quarantine to figure out he’s probably bipolar and hit a low. Also, he divulged I’m one of 5 women he’s been seeing.
Have an offer from Accenture Strategy or ZS Associates, both same consultant level. Pros / Cons of either. For ex: Culture, people, brand recognition, exit options, projects (love sales & marketing)
Is it bad if I don’t go into public accounting. I mentally don’t think I can do busy season hours. Is that wrong of me?
Start first consulting role and feel very anxious as if I’m not good enough and everyone else is just so far advance, everything I do people have issue with rather it’s decks or excel
On average, how much do you think you spend for supplies in your own classroom? This can be money spent on you as the teacher and your students. I’m curious to see the numbers.
I really hope that tech companies after Covid remain mostly WFH. As a Bay Area native I would love for most of these techies to leave (not because I don’t like them but because I really want to one day own a house where I grew up and that’s almost impossible right now).
Advice: recently I got 4 new demanding accounts to oversee. Already working 12+ hr day without proper support staff. Also have a toddler. How do I decline new accounts without looking like a failure?
If I got laid off a month ago, should I disclose that on my resume? I’m inclined to keep the “- present”, and explain my leaving of the firm later in the interview process
Any other junior associates have no work? I’ve reached out to people but it’s just slow. Less than ten hours so far this month....
