I have the opposite problem, no one invites me lol. So I just chill alone and watch my YouTube playlist on my phone. It passes the time. Also if you want to avoid your coworkers have lunch at a time no one else does like 3pm because some "diet reason" like intermittent fasting.
^this is the way to go. I bring my same boring burrito bowl lunch everyday because I'm trying to be less of a fat slob this year. Any time someone asks me to grab lunch, I've got a built in excuse. "Nope, dieting." Saves me the hassle of wasting my lunch break AND keeps me on track with this diet goal. Win-win.
I’m the “solo lunch” person too. I usually say something like, “I use lunch to decompress and clear my head, but I’d love to catch up over coffee later this week.” It sets the boundary without making it about them.

Not possible since I work remotely, but I will do it on days when we are in the office. During days when I was in the office, I had a limited few I lunched with regularly. We never talked about work. I think that helps, otherwise it’s another meeting with food.
