Of course your kid wants to watch tv, they are kids.
I think trying to homeschool a child that young while working is a terrible idea. The families that homeschool successfully typically have a stay at home parent who takes their children on educational excursions and activities to interact with other kids. They also spend a lot of time working with this kids on schooling.
Maybe if your kid was older and self sufficient. A first grader? No way. I can’t believe the public or private school would be a worse option that this.
Unless you can homeschool her outside of your work hours, I would advise against trying it. I know working moms who have home schooled older kids, once they're a little more self-sufficient, but I don't see how it would work with a first grader. I had to help my kindergarten and 2nd graders during covid and that was nearly impossible to do with work...and I didn't even have to plan any of it.
Home schooling is a full time job.
