For those of you that are within or are familiar with the bank channel. I’m currently an advisor at Citi and been at a horrible branch for 2 years. I just got a new territory with a lot of potential However, I was just given an offer from Citizen’s bank where I’d be inheriting a $40 Million dollar book, $20 Million in managed and a 34% payout of revenue on TOP of salary for 3 years. I’m nervous to make the move, but it’s a sweet deal. Need some advice here fellaz.

I’m an associate in wealth management. I didn’t get a compensation increase when I got this position (moved from a different department 65k) and today I had the weirdest call with one of the higher ups. He essentially told me my title had changed officially in HR ok thanks bye… and I was left there like ????? What about the salary adjustment? I am so tired of getting taken advantage of because I’m not a negotiator guru. If you work in wealth management as an associate what is your salary?

Currently I’m at JP Morgan as a RB , getting my SIE, 6 and 63 but I just found out I’m unable to get the Series 7 unless the role requires it. I like that Fidelity has some positions are WFH. My question is should I stay with JP Morgan for a year ( don’t have to pay back my licenses) or just apply Financial Service Rep as Fidelity sponsors Series 7, 63 and CFP. I’ll be taking a pay cut Currently 73k salary including incentive at JP and Financial Rep at Fidelity 50-60k salary.

What is comp for Fidelity Investment Solutions Rep?

Am I being lowballed? Chief Investment Officer for a 5B+ RIA, total comp around 155k with no equity incentives.

Would anyone happen to have more information about the Investment Center ADFA, Remote Financial Advisor position w/PNC? I am most interested in the base salary/commission structure. I am in a licensed banker role right now and trying to feel out if this would be a good way to work into PNC Investments in lieu of a traditional branch Financial Advisor position. My thought is this could be a decent way to build a foundation of clients and then transition to a branch role.

For independent’s with GDC 1-2 million… what % do you spend on staff?
As we have grown we have needed to add people… para planners…. Investment traders for the managed account… just added a junior guy good with computers just to keep the desk tops and laptops working with all our software programs and the required security.
We are spending about 35% for salary and benefits.

Worked my way up to wealth advisor in Citi after 4 years. Now that I am about to start building my book, I have Merrill poaching me. They have called me a couple of times to move to their financial advisor program. Same pay for the first year but 25% more bonus. Second year Merrill pays substantially more if you hit your goals. After that you are comission based. Citi is more job security but Merrill is higher growth potential. Thoughts?

Base of $80 would be nice. I’ve made so many other people money this year I’d rather quit and not work than keep doing this. Business partner will make $500K this year on net new money, that I closed for them. Plus, anything developed they will get paid. I’ll be happy to possibly get a bonus at the end of the year? Maybe?

Hi everyone. I had a question regarding Kpmg process. Once getting a call from the HR regarding selection, the HR told that she needs to get partner approval on salary and then will communicate back to me for a verbal confirmation and an offer letter. It has been almost 3-4 days, I am still waiting and the HR told me she is continuously sending chaser emails to the partner. Does someone has knowledge on how long this takes,i.e., for the partner to approve salary, etc? Note: I’m an expat in SG.

I’m finally about to make the jump back to an advisor after a relocation and two years as a planner/coach to advisors. It is with a very tiny RIA. The provide the platform, office, and I own my book and give back a portion of revenue to cover those costs. They are paying me a very nice 1 year salary to get off the ground. What are the questions you would be asking before you make it official?

What is this Merrill Lynch program where they pay you for 5 years a salary if you commit to bringing over a certain amount? I was at a call center for a major wirehouse and recently left. I have a buddy going to Merrill and is getting paid $250k/year with the goal of having $60m end of year. He probably will take $15m from the call center MAX. What is the catch here?

Any one had experience with Wells Fargo premier banker role or Financial Solutions advisor with BOA. Seems to be very similar. Wells base is higher but seems more upside for comp with BOA? Any feedback on either would be greatly appreciated.

I’m a CA w/ 1 YOE and I got registered about 5-6 months ago. I was told prior to being registered that I would get a % of production on top of my base salary. That has not happened yet/slash been discussed. I am nervous to bring it up to my advisors because I am a recent grad and I feel like it might sound like I’m asking for a lot, but I was told this and I didn’t even know it was a thing (but I guess it is common in WM). My team has almost 3mm production so even less than 1% would be anywhere
