I’m afraid to admit this to anyone else but I’ll post it here. This year was hard on me financially. I changed jobs, moved cross country, took a Bootcamp, and had a ton of medical expenses. All said and done I had to sell $10k from my non-retirement investments and I’ll sell another $5k by years end to have an even cash flow. The upside is my net worth grew by 9% due to the market. Should I be hard on myself for having expenses > income, or is this just life?

I found out today that my employer doesn’t offer any paid parental leave (maternity or paternity). This isn’t a major issue now, but my wife and I are planning on trying in a year or so from now. I bought a home 3 months back and at the time my credit score was 780. My interest rate was 2.65%. Since then a late credit card payment from 7 years back finally fell off my report. My current credit score is 820. Do you think if I had waited I would have gotten better interest rate because of my credit score?

Project is outside of my skill set and interest and I feel like I’m in too deep and don’t care enough to eat shit for this project.
