Does your HR partner usually do a first round of screening before showing you potential candidates to interview? Curious because it seems to be a bit different everywhere and I'm just wondering what the process is like at your company

That’s a great question! At my last company, HR usually did a quick 15-20 min screen just to make sure candidates met the basics before passing them to the hiring manager. But at my current place, the manager sees every resume directly. Totally depends on how hands-on HR is. Have you seen a big difference in how that step impacts who makes it through?

thanks for sharing! Yup typically when the hiring manager gets involved, it's much harder to pass an applicant through lol

Depends on the position, but for most HR takes the first round of screening. Making sure the basics are met, and that the person even shows up! I cannot believe the number of no-shows we’ve had lately. From there, if everything looks good, they are passed on to us.

thanks for sharing! same here, the amount of no shows is getting high, and im surprised that its happening in this economy

Yes, the first two or three interviews are completed with HR and the recruitment team. then the department heads are brought in to the process to help make the final decision.

thanks :)

DO YOU JUST ASSUME THE COST OF YOUR MARKETING ACTIVITIES? I am looking to allocate their cost in the marketing budget in a way that won't rely on several layers of assumptions. Ads seems the easiest, but even then there's time and overheads... I've been looking for a reliable model.
