Tech startup or big tech company? And why?
Spent 4+ years as CMO of startup company. It was an incredible learning experience but also a very difficult uphill battle trying to steer the owners and the company in the right direction. I’ve just exited the company as of 11/18. The owners expected to storm the marketplace and emerge as a number one brand at only 6 years old without putting in the work.Company had a very hard time understanding the concept of a unique value proposition. Hoping to find a new remote (full time) position ASAP

Wow, great advice on this thread. Initially, it will be a ROUGH estimate, but you have a smaller margin of error each month and an increasingly reliable model.
“Their” meaning your client? You should use the same or similar activities that either you or others at your organization have executed before as a rough estimate. What is the activity?
Oh wow, that’s a big project to take on! I think you would have to start by allocating staff to each activity and then estimating how many hours they will spend on a regular basis. Then calculate the costs based on their pay rate and whatever your company’s markup is. It might be an estimate, but you should be actualizing numbers monthly and after a few months should be within a small margin of error.
