What’s your take on including an alphabet soup in your signature? Which of your designations do you intentionally exclude and why? ex PhD, JD, MBA, CPA, CFA, CAIA, PMP, PMI, CIMA, CFP, etc etc

Does the CAIA hold much value if already doing the CFA?

Has anyone completed CAIA? If so what’s the timeframe to completion like? Thanks in advance!

Looking for advice on types of roles I should be searching in financial services. I am an expert communicator, both written and verbal (many publications, and pre-consulting/fs career in public speaking), and a great salesperson. Want to be able to keep writing and attending conferences, as well as have a sales component. I don't enjoy working with back office banking robots. I can play the part short term, but have bristled on longer term engagements with human potatoes. 8YOE, Series, & CAIA

I don’t have an undergrad degree, but completed roughly 2.5 years out of the 4. I’m in my mid 20’s with 3 years of experience in wealth management working with UHNW clients. If I get my CFA and my CAIA, will my firm/other firms consider me regardless of my lack of a degree? I also have my series 7 and 66.

I'm in a business development role based in Asia. May I get your thoughts/pointers on the CAIA?

I'm aware that the CAIA is not as popular in Asia compared to the CFA. From my knowledge, there are no CAIA holders in my current firm within the Asian region, despite dealing with alternative investments.

Would be happy to hear your thoughts regarding the CAIA, and study tips if you have any!

Anyone use the Pearson virtual test Proctor? Just registers for CAIA and couldn’t get a spot in my area so asked for the allowance , I have heard horrible story’s.

Currently have the FRM title.
I failed CFA level 3 once.

I'm hoping to eventually do CAIA, but only after I'm done with CFA. I'm also hoping to do non-financial certifications, like Certified analytics professional (CAP), and learn about web development.

While I may have the title of manager, I am still an individual contributor. The type of work I do involves quantitative analysis/data analysis/science.

Any suggestions as to what I should start with?

CMT vs CAIA?

I currently work in sales for an asset manager and have an MBA. Would like a designation, one that’s applicable to asset management and has some status/recognition. Appreciate any thoughts or insights. (Also dont want to take CFA)

New AWMA... curious to know what a reasonable salary expectation is and what the growth looks like for an associate within a growing ensemble. For context, background is more analytical, taking CAIA level 2 in a couple weeks, then plan on pursuing CFA.

Thoughts on CAIA? Difficulty, hours studied, study tips, overall experiences, etc.? I’ll be sitting for Level 1 in September. Currently work in the fund of funds space - moving over to my firm’s hedge fund research team soon so CAIA seemed like a perfect way to get knowledge in the area beforehand. I’m almost one year out of undergrad (econ background) so a lot of the CAIA content is new to me

Is CFA and CAIA certifications helpful for a career in Real Estate Private Equity/Development?

Hi 🐠, question on CFA / CAIA- are either worth pursuing if you want to “up” your professional bonafides? I don’t come from a background in finance, but work primarily w/ PEGs like so many of us.

Waiting on CFA L3 results and salary “revisit” in Sept. Have CAIA designation already and base salary of $64k base salary +20% bonus currently as credit analyst. Should I be looking for big raise?

Is the CAIA a worthwhile designation to pursue? Firm is willing to sponsor, but not sure how much PE firms care about it

Fixed income Credit analyst in boston. Make 60k +15k bonus. Sitting for level 3 cfa in June and have my CAIA designation. 10 vaca days/ year. Am I getting screwed?
